Publisher GRYPHLINE and developer Mountain Contour announced the update, titled Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied, following a launch period that outperformed internal expectations.

Two new 6-star operators headline the update. Tangtang is a Caster specializing in AOE Cryo damage whose Ultimate can immobilize all enemies within range, including bosses. Rossi, a Guard, is currently the only operator capable of converting Arts Infliction into Vulnerability, making her a key asset for Physical-focused squads looking to shred enemy defenses.
On the base-building side, the new Hydro Mining Rig lets players harvest Cuprium, a new industrial resource, using water flow rather than electricity, operating entirely off the power grid. New Conduits and Water Treatment Units expand long-distance logistics, while the Forges of the Sky placement limit increases to four units, raising the production ceiling for endgame resources.
The update also opens the Qingbo Stockade, a new area within the Wuling region where the Endministrator investigates escalating tensions tied to the arrival of Nefarith and Ardashir.
Players can expect a range of rewards and quality-of-life improvements alongside the new content. Newcomers who reach Chapter 1 milestones will receive 10 Chartered Headhunting Permits, while two sign-in events offer additional limited-time pulls. The Protocol Pass now provides periodic Basic Headhunting Permits, and the AIC Quota system has been expanded to reward players for obtaining 4, 5, and 6-star operators for the first time.
Controller players benefit from notable improvements as well, including extended power line buffer range, better facility management, and the ability to access the minimap while riding ziplines. Operators also now enter Protocol Spaces at full HP and Ultimate Energy.
Looking ahead, version 1.2 will introduce two new maps, an outpost, and a fluid-based production system as the Endministrator defends the Xiranite Dam alongside Tianshi Zhuang.
