Pets in Crimson Desert follow you on adventures, automatically collecting nearby loot and items dropped by defeated enemies.
What are pets?
Pets are animal companions, currently dogs and cats, that accompany you through the world. They serve a practical purpose: automatically collecting items nearby, including loot from enemy corpses after combat. Pet Armor is available for purchase at Tailor Shops and is purely cosmetic; it provides no gameplay benefits other than letting your pet loot items in style.

How to tame pets
Before an animal becomes your pet, raise its trust level to 100. There are two ways:
- Petting: increases trust by 5 points, up to five times per day for 25 trust daily.
- Feeding: drop food near the animal. Depending on the food type, this grants between 10 and 35 trust per feeding.
Both the petting and feeding limits reset at midnight (12:00 AM) in-game time. Once trust reaches 100, you can take the animal in as a permanent companion.
