The update, titled “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise,” picks up after Nihilux revealed herself as Aha, the Aeon of Elation. She joins the Trailblazer, with Pearl’s backing, on a trip into the Life Sciences Institute deep inside Astropolis to expose a plan to “weaponize the husk.” HoYoverse announced the release date from Singapore on Sept. 20.
The institute is the source of all imagenae in Astropolis and was built under Madam Yabuli, head of the IPC’s Technology Department. Yabuli is now pushing the husk plan at the cost of every life in Planarcadia, and she is suspected of ties to a faction that worships the Voracity. Pearl plans to use the recovery of Leviathan Essence as cover, sending Kuchiba and Ashveil into the institute alongside the Trailblazer and Nihilux.
Pearl, a 5-star Ice character on the Path of Elation, becomes playable in this version. The CEO of Planarcadia is known for raw computing power and rational decision-making. When the Voracity struck, she put Planarcadia’s residents on the Astral Express and stayed behind to oversee the encanvasing ritual. Her story with the Trailblazer shows how “Preservation” and “Art” merge into one theme.
In combat, Pearl spends “Certified Banger” to offset part of the damage taken by all allies. She can also enter a “Deep Learning” state, which studies a chosen teammate’s combat data and grants her a matching Enhanced ATK. If that teammate follows Elation, the Enhanced ATK deals extra Elation damage. If the whole team is Elation, the chosen teammate also gains an extra turn along with a large amount of Punchline and “Certified Banger.”
Pearl and the 5-star Light Cone “Colors for Tomorrow” get boosted drop rates for the whole version. Evanescia returns in the first half, and Mortenax Blade returns in the second.
Version 4.6 also brings the “Love, Ghosts & Robots” event, where the Trailblazer helps the resurrected Skott run a mechatron workshop, building and selling mechatrons to earn a five-star rating. The combat reality show “Interastral Peace Gala: One Take” kicks off as well. In the new “Astral Imagea” gameplay, players collect multiple Astral Imageas to tag along on adventures and team up with friends for the “Astral Slammers Squad!” challenge. Hyacine’s outfit “Warm Cotton Skies” and Evanescia’s “Lunar Blossoming” arrive in the Outfit Show Window.
HoYoverse also announced a Razer collaboration built around Silver Wolf LV.999: a gaming chair, keyboard, mouse and headset, releasing at the same time across several regions, with details to come. The company confirmed that Ellen and Astra Yao from Zenless Zone Zero will join Honkai: Star Rail as collaboration characters in version 4.8.
