A new RPG called Azur Promilia is generating buzz with its blend of creature collecting, farming mechanics and anime-inspired characters. The game’s latest trailer showcases these features while establishing connections to the popular Azur Lane franchise.
The trailer highlights the game’s “Starlink” system, which appears similar to Pokémon’s creature-catching mechanics but with its own unique implementation. Characters can be seen tossing capture devices reminiscent of Poké Balls to collect various creatures throughout the game world.
Azur Promilia distinguishes itself from other open-world gacha games like Genshin Impact primarily through this creature collection system, adding another layer to the typical gacha formula.
Developed by Manjuu, the game will be available across multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android, making it accessible to a wide range of players.
The game is set in the same universe as Azur Lane, the side-scrolling shooter also developed by Manjuu and known for its anime-inspired character designs based on anthropomorphic warships.
The official overview describes the game with poetic but vague language: “Take a daring leap from the sky into the ocean, to once again encounter and bond with new life. Guided by shooting stars, amid the sparkling constellations, this is your very own journey. The entire universe eagerly anticipates the ballad of stars and odyssey, exclusively yours to unfold.”
While the trailer showcases the game’s visual style and core mechanics, it notably lacks a specific release date, suggesting more information may be forthcoming in future announcements.
With its combination of popular gaming elements – gacha systems, creature collecting, and farming – across multiple platforms, Azur Promilia appears positioned to appeal to fans of multiple genres while building on the existing Azur Lane franchise.
