Monster Hunter Outlanders is a mobile open-world survival game. There are three classes, each with a different playstyle. Squads share an energy pool to activate a Co-Op Skill during hunts, and dodging right before a monster’s attack lands triggers a Perfect Evade, which opens follow-up moves.
Gear gets forged from hunting drops, much like the main series. The Radiant species is new here, exclusive to this title, with materials used for new gear. Sharpness doesn’t drain in combat either, so there’s no stopping to sharpen mid-hunt.
Hunting takes place in Aesoland, where all monsters are visible on the world map and available at any time. An Ecological Rank system scales difficulty as players advance. Other content includes the Arena, Egg Heist Challenge, Winged Treasure Hunt, and Zen Stone Balance.
