Tips and Tricks for Beginners and Veterans by JeezPlayingAgain
Tip #1
There are something called server level. You can check what level your server is at by clicking on icon right here. The sever level will tell you exactly how far you can level without getting any EXP penalty. If you are below the server level, you will get additional EXP to help you level faster.
You can gain up to 5-8 levels pass the server level. After that, you will be just stacking your base experience points until the sever level increases.
Tip #2
There are two ways to farm for cards, accessories, and meterials. You can use your Hunting time or your Freya’s Blessing.
Every single day you get 120 minutes of hunting time. You can get experience points as well as monster drops while you have hunting time. Once you run out, you will only get 1 EXP per kill depending on the level of the monster and no item drops.
You can also use Freya’s Blessing. This buff doesn’t give you any experience points but allows players extra time to farm for meterials, equipments and cards. You get 60 minutes of this buff every single day and can stack up to 420 minutes. You should wait until you have 420 minutes and use it all at one. That should maximize the chance of you getting a good drop.
If you run out of both hunting time and the Freya’s Blessing, then you won’t be able to get any item drops at all. No cards, no accessories, nothing.
Tip #3
Starting at level 45, you can unlock the medals. These medals increases various stats as well as stats for your mercenaries. You can obtain material to upgrade you medal through the Cat Delivery daily quest or with these medal boxes.
Note: Only upgrade the important ones first that relates to your job. If you are a tank, you should be maxing out the defense medals first before anything else.
The max level you can have them at is level 25 for the moment.
Tip #4
One of the best features about Ragnarok Origin is the fact that there are multiple presets you can set for a character. The first preset for the skill, stats, and equipment cost 20K zeny each. And the 3rd cost a bit more.
I highly recommend you invest yourselves in these presets. You can freely change your build type into whatever you want without the hassel of resetting everytime. This is especially useful for Priest players who can go battle priest first and once you can unlock the preset, go full support.
You also have 3 free resets for your stats and skills. So, if you went for a build and didn’t like it, don’t stress to much about it. You can always reset for free. And event if you use all 3 free reset, the materials you need to reset your skills and stats are cheap.
You can unlock this preset starting at level 45.
Tip #5
You can find skill control in your settings, personal tab, and these two options right here.
The classic way allows you to place you skill wherever you click on the area. This make placing santuary or wizard AOE skills a lot easier.
The double touch control sets your skills directly on yourself. Unless you select a party member or enemy, this will place your skills directly on them. So if you use safety wall then it will be cast directly on top of them. If you use an AOE skill then the center will be placed directly on them. Each control has their pros and cons. Its up to you to figure out which control style works best with your job.
Tip #6
You can actually save your daily quest for the next day. If you start a daily quest, you can resume that quest the next day. This helps players who don’t have much time not waste their daily quests and lose out on valuable experience points.
The only thing is, the quest don’t stack. So if you started the dancing quest the day before and the dancing quest shows up again the next day. You must finish the previous one before you can start the dancing quest again.
Keep in mind that for the fishing quest there is a set amount of time you can fish per day. If you pass that time limit, you won’t be able to fish anymore.
Tip #7
Monster Research is a neet feature that Gravity placed in Ragnarok Origin. Every time you kill a certain amount of the same type monster you will increase that monster’s research level. If you increase the research level then you gain points. And if you complete a set of them, you will gain extra points.
Whenever you increase you research book level, you gain extra stats for your character. The amount you get isn’t a lot but its better than nothing.
You can unlock a few special headgear for having you research book at a certain level.
One of best ways to increase your research level is to finish your daily hunting time. Pick an area where you can kill monster quickly and efficiently. The monster kill count goes up faster if you party up with other players.
Even with no hunting time left, the kills you get from killing monsters still goes towards your research book. And at 5AM, you will be automatically teleported back to your saved town location. So you don’t have to worry about wasting your hunting time for the next day.
