The game, developed by Wemade under CEO Kwan-ho Park, debuted in Korea on Feb. 20 and quickly became a top performer. Set in Norse mythology, it explores events leading to Ragnarok, the cyclical apocalypse occurring every 9,000 years.
Key features include:
- Blockchain integration, limiting in-game currency for crafting and upgrades
- NFIs (Non-Fungible Items) to prevent counterfeiting of rare gear
- A tokenomics system letting players earn WEMIX cryptocurrency through gameplay
The global version, under the slogan Play Ymir, Earn Wemix, will expand later in 2025. Players can subscribe to the teaser page for updates.
Wemade aims to build on the games early success, which saw it rank No. 1 in popularity and sales on Korean app stores and Google Play.
