ZZZ 1.7: Mockingbird's Past, S1 Finale Apr 23

Get ready for the dramatic conclusion to Zenless Zone Zero’s first season. HoYoverse has announced that Version 1.7, titled “Bury Your Tears with the Past,” launches on April 23.

This update delivers the finale to Season 1’s main storyline, finally resolving the Sacrifice crisis that has plagued New Eridu. Players, known as Proxies, will uncover the truth behind Hugo’s fall into the Hollow.

The narrative dives into the shadowed past of Vivian, a key figure in the Mockingbird faction. Tensions between Mockingbird and TOPS continue to rise as deeper secrets are revealed.

Proxies will team up with Vivian to infiltrate enemy territory, search for the crucial Sacrifice Core, and expose the Exaltists’ conspiracy. A new Void Hunter-rank special investigator, assigned by the Mayor, also joins the fight.

Version 1.7 introduces two elegant S-Rank Agents from Mockingbird:

Vivian: An Ether Anomaly Agent using a parasol and rapier for swift ground and aerial attacks. Her skills boost Anomaly damage and synergize with team EX Special Attacks for increased Corruption damage.

Hugo: An Ice Attack Agent whose suitcase transforms into a scythe for powerful slashes and area sweeps. He can trigger the Totalize effect on stunned enemies, increasing damage based on remaining stun duration.

They are joined by Robin, Mockingbird’s Bangboo companion who attacks with randomized effect cards. Rerun banners will also feature Physical Anomaly Agent Jane and Fire Stun Agent Lighter.

Outside of combat, new in-game events offer different experiences. “Say It With Flowers” lets players manage a flower shop, creating arrangements for clients. Completing commissions unlocks rewards, including the A-Rank Bangboo Overtimeboo and a permanent floral arrangement gameplay mode.

The “Bangboo Bash” event returns with a ranked mode for competitive players. Participants navigate obstacle and survival courses, earning points for leaderboard placement, exclusive titles, Polychromes, and other rewards.
