Arknights: Endfield Gacha System

Arknights: Endfield is a mobile gacha game developed by Hypergryph that employs a character and weapon acquisition system distinct from many contemporary gacha games. The game features a “spark” guarantee system for limited characters, a separate weapon gacha with its own currency economy, and a multi-tiered duplicate exchange system.

The gacha system in Arknights: Endfield consists of three primary components: character acquisition through “Headhunting” banners, weapon acquisition through the “Arsenal Exchange,” and resource conversion through the “Quota Exchange” system.

Premium Currencies

Arknights: Endfield operates on a dual-currency economy. Origeometry is the premium currency purchased with real money or obtained from select missions. Oroberyl is the standard in-game currency earned through daily missions, weekly tasks, exploration, and story progression.

The conversion rates are as follows: 1 Origeometry converts to either 75 Oroberyl or 40 Sanity. A single character pull costs 500 Oroberyl, while a 10-pull costs 5,000 Oroberyl (approximately 66.6 Origeometry).

Character Acquisition

New Horizons Headhunting (Beginner Banner)

The beginner banner, officially titled “New Horizons Headhunting,” is available to new players upon starting the game. This banner exclusively uses “New Horizons HHx10 Permit” items, which are awarded through main story progression. Players can only perform 10-pull summons on this banner.

After 40 pulls (4 multi-pulls), the banner guarantees a 6-star Operator. The available 6-star Operators are limited to Ember, Ardelia, Last Rite, Lifeng, and Pogranichnik. The banner features a 0.8% rate for 6-star characters, 8% for 5-star characters, and 91.2% for 4-star characters. Early acquisition of a 6-star Operator does not guarantee additional 6-star pulls within the 40-pull limit.

Chartered Headhunting (Limited Character Banners)

Chartered Headhunting serves as the primary system for acquiring limited characters. Each pull costs 500 Oroberyl (6.66 Origeometry), with 10-pulls costing 5,000 Oroberyl (66.6 Origeometry). The rarity distribution matches the beginner banner rates.

The system operates on several guarantee mechanisms. Every 10 pulls guarantees at least one 5-star or higher Operator. Unlike traditional 50/50 systems, Arknights: Endfield does not guarantee the featured Operator on the second 6-star pull. Instead, the game employs a spark system that guarantees the featured Operator within 120 pulls, triggering only once per banner.

The pity system increases the probability of obtaining a 6-star Operator after 65 pulls without one. Starting at pull 66, the base 6-star rate increases by 5% per pull (5.8% at pull 66, 10.8% at pull 67, and so forth). A 6-star Operator is guaranteed at 80 pulls. Pity carries over between banners up to 80 pulls; any pity accumulated beyond 80 pulls does not transfer.

At 60 pulls, players receive a “Headhunting Dossier” item valid only for the subsequent Chartered Headhunting banner, functioning as a free 10-pull. For every 240 pulls on a banner, players receive a bonus duplicate token of the featured Operator.

Featured Operators follow a rotation system. After a featured Operator’s banner concludes, that Operator remains in the general pool for the next two limited banners before being removed entirely. They are not added to any permanent banner pool.

Players can exchange “Bond Quota” (obtained from duplicate 5-star and 6-star Operators) at the Quota Exchange for up to 5 discounted Headhunting Tickets (15 Bond Quota each) valid only for the current Chartered Headhunting banner, or unlimited standard Chartered Headhunting Tickets (25 Bond Quota each).

Weapon Acquisition

Arsenal Exchange System

The Arsenal Exchange operates as a separate gacha system for weapons. Players obtain “Arsenal Tickets” from character pulls at the following rates: 2,000 tickets per 6-star character, 200 tickets per 5-star character, and 20 tickets per 4-star character. An average 10-pull containing only 4-star characters yields 380 Arsenal Tickets.

In the worst-case scenario of 120 pulls to obtain a featured character (the spark guarantee), players accumulate approximately 8,560 Arsenal Tickets, equivalent to 4.32 pulls in the Arsenal Issue gacha.

Players can purchase weapons directly from the Arsenal Exchange. 5-star weapons cost 400 Arsenal Tickets, while 6-star weapons cost 2,480 Arsenal Tickets.

Arsenal Issue (Weapon Gacha)

The Arsenal Issue is a weapon-specific gacha banner that features the signature weapon of the current limited character banner. Drop rates are 4% for 6-star weapons, 15% for 5-star weapons, and 81% for 4-star weapons.

Players can only perform 10-pulls on the Arsenal Issue, with each pull costing 1,980 Arsenal Tickets. Every 10-pull guarantees at least one 5-star or higher weapon. Every 4 multi-pulls (40 individual pulls) guarantees a 6-star weapon, though the featured weapon has only a 25% rate among 6-star drops.

The Arsenal Issue employs a spark system guaranteeing the featured weapon within 8 multi-pulls (80 individual pulls). This guarantee triggers once per banner and does not carry over. At 18 multi-pulls (180 individual pulls), players receive a bonus duplicate of the featured weapon. Subsequently, every 8 multi-pulls awards a 6-star weapon, alternating between the featured weapon and a random 6-star weapon.

Additional Arsenal Issue banners featuring signature weapons for non-limited Operators are also available.

Duplicate Systems

Potentials (Character Duplicates)

Character duplicates are termed “Potentials” in Arknights: Endfield, ranging from P0 (no duplicates) to P5 (maximum duplicates). Fully upgrading an Operator requires obtaining them six times total.

Weapon Potentials

Weapon duplicates increase the effectiveness of a weapon’s third passive ability. Each duplicate strengthens this passive and increases its pip limit. Without duplicates, weapons are limited to 4 out of 9 maximum pips. The game also features an “Essence” system, which allows players to attach items with random attributes to weapons to further enhance their passive abilities.

Quota Exchange

The Quota Exchange system consists of three separate currency types: Bond Quota, AIC Quota, and Endpoint Quota.

Bond Quota

Bond Quota is obtained from duplicate 5-star and 6-star Operators. Each 6-star duplicate yields 50 Bond Quota, while each 5-star duplicate yields 10 Bond Quota. The Bond Quota shop offers 5 discounted Headhunting Tickets for the current banner (15 Bond Quota each), unlimited standard Chartered Headhunting Tickets (25 Bond Quota each), a 5-star Operator duplicate selector (200 Bond Quota), and various rare materials.

AIC Quota

AIC Quota is generated when players obtain duplicates of 5-star or 4-star Operators already at maximum Potential. The conversion rate is 20 AIC Quota per 5-star duplicate and 5 AIC Quota per 4-star duplicate. The AIC Quota shop contains general progression materials.

Endpoint Quota

Endpoint Quota is obtained exclusively from duplicates of 6-star Operators already at maximum Potential (P5). Each additional 6-star duplicate converts to 10 Endpoint Quota. Players can exchange 20 Endpoint Quota for standard 6-star weapons. As of the game’s second closed beta test, only standard weapons are available in this shop. It remains undisclosed whether signature weapons for limited Operators will be added to this shop after their banners conclude.
