NetEase Games and Nitro Plus have released the official launch trailer for Rusty Rabbit, showcasing the upcoming mech-action game that blends resource mining with combat ahead of its April 17 release.
The newly released trailer highlights the game’s unique visual style and gameplay mechanics, giving players a glimpse of what to expect when Rusty Rabbit launches across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and PC platforms next week.
Players take control of a customizable “Junkster” mech that grows stronger through resource collection and enemy defeats. The progression system allows players to accumulate Skill Points by leveling up, which can be invested in enhancing combat abilities and overall control.
The game features a crafting system where players can transform collected scrap into weapons, tailoring their mech to match their preferred playstyle. This customization process is central to the gameplay loop of strengthening your mech, exploring new areas, and confronting increasingly difficult enemies.
Rusty Rabbit also promises a rich narrative experience. In Brass Village, the home base of protagonist Stamp, players can interact with various residents to learn about the world’s history and lore. Conversations with villagers at locations like the local diner and church provide valuable context about the rabbit inhabitants.
The story unfolds through a text-novel style presentation as players discover and restore “noble scraps” found in ancient ruins. These restoration activities gradually reveal Stamp’s background story and uncover hidden truths about the game world.
Beyond the main mining area of Smokestack Mountain, players can test their skills in the challenging Random Dungeon. This endgame feature generates new layouts with each entry and offers progressively more powerful enemies as players venture deeper through its 100 floors, which unlock as the story advances.
The Random Dungeon also includes the Rust Beast Index, a feature that allows players to face powered-up versions of previously defeated bosses, providing an extra challenge for skilled players.
A free demo of Rusty Rabbit is currently available for players who want to try the game before its official launch on April 17.
