Elden Ring: Spirit Ashes Database

Spirit Ashes in Elden Ring are Spirit companions that can aid the player in combat. As players progress through the game, they will be able to collect Spirit Ashes, which allow them to summon the spirits of fallen warriors and creatures, and upon calling their fallen souls, aid the player in combat. This page covers a list of all the Spirits featured in Elden Ring.

Apart from your Skills, Spells, Weapons, and Armor, the use of Spirit Ashes is yet another combat feature that adds more options on how you want to approach certain situations.

Spirit Ash summons are not the same as Skills.

Summoning Spirits With Ashes

In order to summon Spirits, you’ll first need to find their corresponding Spirit-Caller’s Ash. Once in your possession, you can use the ash as an item to summon the selected spirit to aid you in combat. This is an offline feature, and is different to where you summon your friends or other players, which is available in Online co-op play.

Summoning Spirits will usually consume FP. Only one summoned spirit can be active per Rebirth Monument, before having to reset the count by resting at a Site of Grace, and you won’t be able to summon them while in multiplayer.

Spirits may only be summoned in specific locations (Points of Interest on the World Map and almost every boss arena). If you leave the boundary, it will unsummon.

Spirits may only be summoned once per encounter, so you cannot re-summon them after they die during a boss fight.

Monument To Summon Spirits

You must be near a rebirth monument to summon spirits from ashes.

Rebirth Monuments are stone obelisks founded at many Points of Interest and almost every boss arena as well.

When you are close to a Rebirth Monument and able to summon, a monument icon will appear on the left side of the screen.

Unlocking Spirit Ashes Upgrades

You’ll need to find Roderika and finished her Quest in order to be able to upgrade Spirit Ashes. Here is a guide on unlocking Spirit Ashes Upgrades

Talk to Roderika (girl with red hood) in stormhill shack. Map here.

Exhaust her dialogue options.

Head to Stormveil Castle and collect Chrysalids’ Memento.

Head back to Roderika and exhaust her dialogue options.

Travel to the Roundtable Hold, and talk to her and to Blacksmith Hewg several times until you exhaust their dialogue options.

Roderika will set up shop in front of him where you can upgrade your Spirit Ashes.

Upgrading Spirit Ashes

Upgrading Spirit Ashes makes them stronger and more effective, boosting their core stats, such as attack, defense or total health, but in some cases it also increases the number of summoned members the upgraded Spirit Ash provides.

There are two different upgrade materials used for this procedure, and which one is used depend on the type of the Spirit Ash you want to upgrade. The first one are called Grave Gloveworts, and are used to upgrade standard spirit ashes, while the other, are called Ghost Gloveworts, are used only on elite Spirit Ashes. Most of the times, you can find both items in optional dungeons, but they are available in some other places as well.

Spirit Ashes upgrade path is fixed and not as customizable as Weapons and Armor Upgrades.

Banished Knight Engvall Ashes	Summons spirit of Banished Knight Engvall	100	In Fringefolk Hero's Grave: To get there, use 2 Stonesword Keys on the double Imp Keystone next to the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace. This will lead to a mini dungeon with traps. You will need to avoid a crusher by walking into side alcoves as you descend. There will also be ghost swordsmen and archers. At the end of this, you will fight an Ulcerated Tree Spirit boss. The boss will drop this spirit summon and a Golden Seed.
Banished Knight Oleg Ashes	Summons spirt of Banished Knight Oleg	100	In Fringefolk Hero's Grave: To get there, use 2 Stonesword Keys on the double Imp Keystone next to the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace. This will lead to a mini dungeon with traps. You will need to avoid a crusher by walking into side alcoves as you descend. There will also be ghost swordsmen and archers. Battlemage Hugues Ashes	Summons spirit of Battlemage Hugues	122	Dropped by Battlemage Hugues (boss) located in the Sellia Evergaol. The best way to reach the evergaol is to travel south along the cliff from the Dragonbarrow West site of grace. It will be on top of a plateau overlooking Aeonia Swamp.
Black Knife Tiche	Summons spirit of Black Knife Tiche	132	Drops from Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader.
Blackflame Monk Amon Ashes	Summons spirit of Blackflame Monk Amon	115	Dropped by Stray Mimic Tear (boss) located in the Hidden Path to the Haligtree dungeon by the Grand Lift of Rold, in the Forbidden Lands. This dungeon can only be accessed by finding both pieces of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.

Clayman Ashes	Summons two clayman spirits	77	Located on a corpse in Ainsel River, Lake of Liurnia which is south from the Uhl Palace Ruins. Easiest way to reach these is ashes is while doing Ranni's questline (the portal you enter from Renna's Rise will take you near the ashes). After entering Ainsel River proceed south along the tunnel entering into the next main room with enemies, proceed southwest while hugging the edge until you can find some Clayman walking about, after disposing them look for the corpse near the corner of the area by the top of a waterfall.
Cleanrot Knight Finlay Ashes	Summons spirit of Cleanrot Knight Finlay	127	Located in a chest protected by a knight in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree legacy dungeon that can be accessed after beating Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree (boss). Teleport to the Prayer Room site of grace, from there make your way down to lower ground to find the room containing both the knight and chest.
Crystalian Ashes	Summons Crystalian spirit	101	Located in a chest protected by three masked magic users in a room that is located down a pathway up the purple crystals next to the Trio Putrid Crystallin's (bosses) boss door in the Sellia Hideaway, eastern Caelid. Entrance to cave is located north of the Church of the Plague site of grace, once you've arrived look for a small graveyard with a sorcerer wielding a staff and club. Behind the main headstone that is along the cliffside there is an illusionary wall that hides the entrance to the cave.
Demi-Human Ashes	Summons five demi-human spirits	69	Dropped by Erdtree Burial Watchdog found within the Impaler's Catacombs, located in the Weeping Peninsula.
Depraved Perfumer Carmaan Ashes	Summons spirit of Depraved Perfumer Carmaan	124	Located on a corpse in Volcano Manor that is near the top of Mt. Gelmir, west of Altus Plateau. Finding these ashes involves beginning the Volcano Manor questline. Once inside the manor talk to Lady Tanith and agree to receive the drawing-room key which opens the doors in the hallway to the right. In the room opposite to a bolted shut door is an illusionary wall that hides the secret passage leading you around the manor's perimeter into the locked room that hides the corpse holding the ashes.
Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet	Summons spirit of Solores the Sleeping Arrow	87	Located in the balcony area in the left corner behind the three standing soldiers that are located above the Manor Lower Level site of grace. To get to this, you must go from the Ranni's Rise site of grace (only accessible after completing Caria Manor and defeating Royal Knight Loretta) outside and towards the cliff overlooking the Manor Lower Level site of grace, you will then have to drop down on top of the building and down the wooden platforms on the right side of the building, you should be able to see and hole with a ladder that leads down into a room, this is where the ashes are located on the corpse of the puppet master merchant (conditions are unknown as of now as to how to trigger their death, their scream can be heard when roaming Ranni's Rise which indicates their death).

Fanged Imp Ashes	Summons two fanged imp spirits.	50	You can select Fanged Imp Ashes as Keepsake during Character Creation. It can be purchased from the Isolated Merchant for 2000 Runes. He can be found just north of the South Raya Lucaria Gate and can be accessed by going back down the slope after entering.
Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet	Summons spirit of Finger Maiden Therolina	82	Can be bought from Seluvis' body in Seluvis's Rise for Starlight Shards after reaching the end of Ranni's questline.

Godrick Soldier Ashes	Summons two Godrick soldier spirits	54	Found at the Cemetery at the west of Stormhill that is filled with Spirit Jellyfish, next to a grave. Check both sides of each grave to find it.
Greatshield Soldier Ashes	Summons five greatshield soldier spirits	74	Found on a corpse in a graveyard in Nokron, Eternal City guarded by a Fallen Hawks Soldier.
Haligtree Soldier Ashes	Summons four Haligtree soldier spirits	66	Located by some candle sticks in the Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree legacy dungeon that constitutes the second part of Miquella's Haligtree dungeon (can be accessed after defeating Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree boss). Upon reaching the area that has a large stone bowl and two enemy npc's on ballista's, it is behind them right in front of the bowl with some candles.
Jarwight Puppet	Summons Jarwight spirit	60	Can be bought from Seluvis' body in Seluvis's Rise for Starlight Shards after reaching the end of Ranni's questline.

Land Squirt Ashes	Summon three land squirts	240	Found in a group of land squirts on the east side of Liurna lake.
Latenna the Albinauric	Summons spirit of Latenna the Albinauric	74	Liurnia of the Lakes, Slumbering Wolf's Shack, found at the end of Lakeside Crystal Cave upon defeating the boss. In order for Latenna to be friendly and become a spirit, one has to have the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right), give to the player by Albus at the Village of the Albinaurics.
Leyndell Soldier Ashes	Summons two Leyndell soldier spirits	64	Found in Sainted Hero's Grave in Altus Plateau. After a floor collapsed, make your way back up and retrieve from a corpse.
Lhutel the Headless	Summons spirit of Lhutel the Headless	104	Dropped by the Cemetery Shade at the Tombsward Catacombs.
Lone Wolf Ashes	Summons three lone wolf spirits.	55	Given to players by Renna at the Church of Elleh in Limgrave. Return to the Church after getting the ability to summon your Spectral Steed from Melina. You will find Renna sitting by the ruins of the church.
Mad Pumpkin Head Ashes	Summon the spirit of a mad pumpkin head.	110	Dropped by the Erdtree Burial Watchdog (Duo) bosses at the end of the Minor Erdtree Catacombs.
Man-Serpent Ashes	Summons man-serpent spirit	62	Delve deeper into Volcano Manor until you reach the chapel with a lot of lizards. You can get the Spirit Ash summon here and, beyond, you’ll spot the teleporter to Rykard the Blasphemous’ arena. Guide by USA Today.
Marionette Soldier Ashes	Summons two marionette soldier spirits	67	Location: Raya Lucaria Academy Nearest Site of Grace: Church of the Cuckoo When you reach the graveyard section, as you cross the other side of the bridge, make a hard left and drop down to find a path that curves to where the Marionette Soldiers are, kill the two soldiers and then loot the corpse that is hanging by the ledge to find this item.

Nomad Ashes	Summons nomad spirit	61	Nomad Ashes can be found on a corpse hanging off a ledge in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds beneath the Royal Capital. To reach it, start at the Underground Roadside site of grace, take a left onto the main path and continue to the end where you will see two large enemies praying at statue. (This is past a shortcut gate that needs to be opened first.) Turn right here to reach an open area, and immediately drop to your left. Follow the winding stairs down, then right to go through some hallways. If you keep moving in the same direction you will eventually reach the corpse past some basilisks.

Radahn Soldier Ashes	Summons two Radahn Soldier spirits	71	Found in the War-Dead Catacombs at the northern tip of Radahn's arena. Go up the stairs to the back right of the first room and go left. Past the archer at the end of the hall turn right, turning right again at the end of that hall past the greatsword knight. Jump through the window to the right near the end of this hall. Go left up the stairs and the ashes will be in a room in front of you behind a knight.
Raya Lucaria Soldier Ashes	Summons three Raya Lucaria soldier spirits	59	Found inside a chest at the end of Road's End Catacombs. Have to hit the final wall, to dispell it and be able to move on. Beware of the many Jade Goblins at the final room
Redmane Knight Ogha Ashes	Summons spirit of Redmane Knight Ogha	106	Redmane Knight Ogha was one of the troops of the great General Radahn, who of course is found in the Caelid area of The Lands Between. Ogha uses a bow and arrow, and can make light use of some of the gravity powers you see used by Radahn and his men. To access this Legendary Ashen Remains, you’ll need to beat Radahn’s boss fight. Inside his barren desert-like boss arena zone west of Caelid, head north-east to the cliff edge. There you’ll find the War-Dead Catacombs. Defeating the boss of these catacombs gets you Ogha’s Legendary Ashen Remains. The Radahn Soldier regular Spirit Ashes are also found in these Catacombs as loot. Guide by RPGsite.

Stormhawk Deenh	Summons spirit of Stormhawk Deenh	47	Chapel of Anticipation: Upon returning to this location later in the game, head to the south wing of the Chapel, onto the roof to find a door that leads to the wooden platforms above the main hall of this building. There is a chest on this platform containing the ashes.
Twinsage Sorcerer Ashes	Summons Twinsage sorcerer spirit	89	Can be dropped by the Cemetery Shade in Black Knife Catacombs in the Liurnia of the Lake region.
Vulgar Militia Ashes	Smmons three vulgar Militia spirits	70	Auriza Hero's Grave: Found on a corpse in a room at the bottom, past the group of basilisks. To reach this area, you must drop down onto some wooden beams in the section where three drive machines meet.
Wandering Noble Ashes	Summons five zombies that engage enemies in melee combat	28	Found at the Stormfoot Catacombs in Limgrave. Foud at the end of the dungeon, after climbing the ladders.
Warhawk Ashes	Summons warhawk spirit	52	Rewarded upon finding the location Prophecy Painting depicts. The location is north of the Church of Pilgrimage at the northern tip of Weeping Peninsula. (The Area in the South)
Winged Misbegotten Ashes	Summons winged misbegotten spirit	37	Unsightly Catacombs: Found on a corpse in a pit with 4 Misbegotten enemies, near the end of the catacombs.
