Snezhnaya is drawing up a plan to stand against the Heavenly Principles while the threat from Ronova, the Ruler of Death, grows, HoYoverse said in announcing the update. Version 7.1 also adds two 5-star characters, Vesna and Vodyanitsa, and sends players back to Liyue for the Moonchase Festival.
In the new Archon Quest, players meet the Tsaritsa and learn the strategy behind her years-long effort to collect the Gnoses. Ronova has used her authority to hinder Snezhnaya, and the arrival of Rhinedottir, the Ruler of Life, adds more uncertainty. Players fight alongside Snezhnaya in a battle against Ronova, who also becomes a new Weekly Boss. Finishing the quest grants 620 Primogems. Players can also take special assignments from the Tsaritsa’s Confidential Secretary to learn how she governs the nation.
Vesna, the youngest Commander in Druzhna history, is a 5-star Anemo Sword user. She converts Cryo Swirl reactions into Stellar Swirl reactions. Her Elemental Skill and other abilities summon Spirit Blades and build “Sword Essence,” which she spends through a special Elemental Skill to send the blades at enemies. When they strike near a Stellar Vortex, the damage counts as Stellar Swirl reaction damage. Her Elemental Burst calls another wave of Spirit Blades for AoE Anemo damage and restores “Sword Essence.” As a Vila, Vesna can fly during exploration. A special anecdote unlocks a new look for her sword spirit companion.
Vodyanitsa, Prima Donna of Snezhnograd’s Korolevskiy Troupe, is a Water Imp and 5-star Hydro Catalyst user. Her Elemental Skill switches her into Water Imp form and sustains her song, which heals the active character, lowers enemies’ Hydro and Cryo resistance and raises the active character’s attack. She moves quickly through water in this form. Her song also strengthens Stellar Vortices, lowering enemies’ Anemo resistance and raising Stellar Swirl damage. Her Elemental Burst deals AoE Hydro damage. In the open world she can stay in Water Imp form and move freely outside the water. A story featuring her unlocks a new look for her microphone.
The first phase of Event Wishes features Vesna and Vodyanitsa. Skirk and Escoffier return in the second phase.
The Moonchase Festival returns to Liyue after five years. Yilong Wharf hosts the festivities, which hide a mystery from the past that even Zhongli and Zibai have not solved. Three new mini-games inspired by Liyue thaumaturges offer rewards, including a new 4-star Sword. Back in Snezhnaya, players join local children in a snowball event against unusual foes. In Natlan, a tournament prediction event asks players to forecast results for 16 teams over several days of matches.
Miliastra Wonderland gets an autumn lobby inspired by osmanthus blossoms and the moon, a free cosmetic set through a related event, and a festival event with an exclusive headpiece. The editor adds controls for client-side scripting and collaborative editing tools.
Version 7.1 also marks the game’s sixth anniversary. Rewards include:
