May 27th 2022 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena May 27th, 2022 Update sees new shikigami Kinnara make her official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.
Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
Onmyoji Arena will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on May 30th, 2022. The new free shikigami will be Youko, Umibozu, Yamausagi, Kuro, Hangan, Aori, Hakuzosu, and Lord Arakawa.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Ootakemaru and Kamimai.
Of these shikigami, Hakuzosu and Lord Arakawa have a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
New Shikigami Invades Heian-kyo!
Kinnara
“From now on, my song shall become the light of Itsukushima that eternally illuminates the paths of mankind.”
Trait: Tune
Kinnara plays one of five tones at random. Using her basic attack for the fifth time triggers a special effect. Kinnara dances forward a certain distance, releasing a radiating sound wave, accompanied by the current tone’s special effect. Kinnara plays the next tune after casting her special basic attack.
Radiating sound wave’s effect:
- Do – Crimson Skies: Deals additional damage to buffeted enemy shikigami.
- Re – Yellow Rose: Implicates and deals damage to the buffeted enemy shikigami and their surrounding enemies.
- Mi – Glorious Shrine: Inflicts a Slow effect on buffeted enemy shikigami.
- So – Zephyr: Continuously heals buffeted ally shikigami.
- La – Clarity: Inflicts a Heal Down effect on buffeted enemy shikigami.
Ability 1: Prelude
Kinnara swiftly switches to the next tone. If an enemy is nearby, Kinnara plays an additional note, dealing damage to the target.
Ability 2: Crescendo
Kinnara casts her sound wave in the designated direction, accompanied by the current tone’s special effect. The sound wave propagates if the enemy is hit by the outermost wave.
Sound wave effect:
- Do – Crimson Skies: Buffeted enemies take additional true damage.
- Re – Yellow Rose: Buffeted enemies are tagged with a lingering sound, which dispels shortly and deals damage to surrounding enemies.
- Mi – Glorious Shrine: Immobilizes buffeted enemies.
- So – Zephyr: Restores HP for herself and surrounding ally shikigami.
- La – Clarity: Inflicts a heal prohibiting effect on buffeted enemy shikigami.
Ability 3: Temper
Kinnara dances forward a certain distance and gains a shield.
Ultimate Ability: Flit
Kinnara plays the Itsukushima tune. She leans forward and whirls, periodically releasing a radiating sound wave. At the same time, she continuously launches mythical birds that attack an enemy in her range.
This week sees Kinnara make her official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield. Kinnara’s dyed skin, Violet Skies, is also available to purchase in the Skin Shop.
The Kinnara Selection Pack will also be available in the General Store. The selection pack includes the new shikigami Kinnara, the dyed skin Violet Skies, Evolved Form Amulet x1, Taichi Mudra x1, and Weeping Sakura x8. You can select which to purchase! S18 Battle Pass: Second Cycle is on! The Second Cycle will end on July 14th, 2022. For this cycle, new Battle Pass exclusive skins, Season Skin: Superior, Seal Effects, Broadcast Themes, item special effects, as well as other rewards have been added.
If you spend 380 Jade, you can unlock all the content of Battle Pass and instantly claim all Battle Pass rewards of your current pass level.

Support Tournament
Event Period: May 27th – July 5th, 2022
The tournament is divided into several stages:
- Qualifiers: May 27th – June 9th, 2022
- Top 12: June 10th – June 21st, 2022
- Finalists Notice Period: June 22nd – June 23rd, 2022
- Top 4 Finals: June 24th – June 30th, 2022
- Champion Notice Period: July 1st – July 5th, 2022
Participate in daily battles or complete event quests to obtain Support Ballots and vote for your favorite shikigami.
You can use Support Ballots in batches to vote for the shikigami in the ranking. Each Support Ballot adds 1 Popularity Point for the shikigami.
Each Support Ballot increases your individual Support Points by 1 point. Collect enough points to unlock a reward.
Support Ballots will be recalled at the end of the stage. You can only use the corresponding Support Ballots to vote in each stage.
After the stage changes, the shikigami’s Support Points will be cleared, but your Individual Support Points will be carried over.
There is a daily cap for Support Ballots and daily caps will vary according to the prevailing competition stage.
During the Finalists Notice Period, you can choose a shikigami to support in the Finals. Players who have voted for the final champion will receive a Support Skin Token Voucher as a reward. Players who fail to vote for the final champion will receive a Support Skin Token Voucher: To Be Activated.
Players who select a shikigami to support only after the notice period will only receive a Support Skin Token Voucher: To Be Activated.
Please also note that you cannot obtain Support Ballots by completing quests during the Finalists Notice Period.
