Onmyoji Arena April 15th 2022 Update Patch Notes

April 15th 2022 Update Patch Notes

The Onmyoji Arena April 15th, 2022 Update sees Season 17, S17 Battle Pass: First Cycle and many adjustments arrives.

Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments

Onmyoji Arena will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on April 18th, 2022. The new free shikigami will be Komatsu, Momo, Vampira, Ibaraki Doji, Mannendake, Kingyo, Kyonshi Ani, and Puppeteer.

Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Kaguya and Izaya.

Of these shikigami, Kyonshi Ani and Puppeteer have a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.

Jungle and Large Monster Adjustments

After a period of observation, the Service Team has decided to suitably increase the buff effects of some large monsters. We hope for both melee and ranged shikigami to obtain Sougenbi’s buff effects under similar trigger conditions, and these do not disappear upon the shikigami’s death. The Service Team has adjusted the ability delay time of a few monsters in the bottom half of the map and made slight increments to the buffs granted by Namazu and Kraken.

We have also modified the terrain around Sougenbi, in the hope that this will increase the influence top-lane shikigami have in battles in Sougenbi’s vicinity. New brush has been added to the jungle to allow players to make better use of it when making use of the vision mechanics.

The Service Team has fixed the bug in which the Serpent can be heard when not in a player’s field of vision. This makes the match more intense by encouraging players on both teams to maximize the jungle’s vision mechanics (Daruma, Lantern Soul, and others). The message lag issue between players with audio switched on and off is eliminated.

After the match begins, openings that allow passage will appear on both sides of the wall where Sougenbi is. When the Serpent Priestess appears for the first time, the wall will return to an intact state, which lasts until the end of the game.

The duration of Sougenbi’s buff effect has been increased to 120 seconds. When a character with the buff approaches a turret, bullets will be automatically fired, dealing damage to the nearest turret.

Decreased several ability delay times of Namazu, Shinkiro, and summons.

Adjusted the Movement Speed bonus granted by Namazu’s buff from 2/3/4% to 2.5/3.75/5%. Adjusted the additional damage granted by Kraken’s buff from 20/30/40 (+10/15/20%*Attack) (+20/30/40% Ability Power) (+2/3/4*level) to 25/37.5/50 (+12.5/18.75/25%*Attack) (+25/37.5/50% Ability Power) (+2.5/3.75/5*level).

Fixed the bug in which the Serpent can be heard when not in a player’s field of vision.

Added two pieces of brush in the jungle, outside the area where Kirin is found.

Jungler Shikigami and Item Adjustments

With the exception of a few Samurai and Ninja shikigami, melee and burst-type shikigami tend to take on the role of the jungler shikigami currently. The range of attack, equipment options, and difficulty level of these shikigami leave little room for error. The Service Team hopes that adjustments made to some mechanics and the damage dealt to monsters will encourage a greater variety of shikigami to be selected for the jungler role.

The Service Team has also adjusted the stats of Fire King Lance and Imperial Lance, in the hope that the former will help to increase the mid to late game jungling speed of some Tank shikigami, while the modified Imperial Lance seeks to provide sufficient buffs for DPS-type shikigami in addition to the currently compatible burst-type shikigami.

Imperial Lance

Adjusted single-target trigger interval from 6 seconds to 3 seconds.

Ability 1: Tile Fling

Adjusted Slow duration from 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9/1 seconds to 1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5 seconds.

Aobozu

Aobozu’s performance was relatively weak, and his Demonbane Form was used far more frequently than his Buddha’s Heart Form. We have therefore suitably increased the Demonbane Form’s damage capability and strengthened both the damage-taking capacity and control power of his Buddha’s Heart Form.

Ability 1: Meditation

Adjusted damage reduction effect when charging in the Buddha’s Heart Form from 0.1/0.11/0.12/0.13/0.14 to 0.1/0.125/0.15/0.175/0.2.

Ultimate Ability: Everything Is Empty

Adjusted Stun duration within the magic circle cast in the Buddha’s Heart Form from 1.2/1.3/1.4 seconds to 1.2/1.35/1.5 seconds.

Adjusted Speed reduction beyond the magic circle from 60% to 80%.

Itsumade

As Itsumade’s overall performance was relatively weak, so we appropriately lowered the cooldown of her Ability 1.

Ability 1: Full-blooded

Adjusted damage multiplier against monsters from 100% to 110%.

Suzuka Gozen

Fixed a bug in which Suzuka Gozen’s basic attack deals two additional attack effects after Level 6 under certain circumstances. As this fix will affect Suzuka Gozen’s strength in the late game, we have slightly increased her damage growth.

Fixed a bug in which Suzuka Gozen’s basic attack effect is repeatedly triggered on occasions after Level 6.

Natural Passive: Sharp Weapon

Adjusted Attack bonus from 110% to 115%.

Item and Onmyodo Adjustments

For the new season, we have made adjustments to some of the items and Onmyodo, hoping to see more combinations of selections in matches. We hope to suitably regulate the performance-to-cost ratio of Omoikane’s Bow, Shichimen Tennyo, Asakusa Glow, and Psychic Umbrella with respect to other similar items within the same categories. We have also increased the performance of the Eye of Orochi to match its cost, in the hope that it will increase the battle capability of basic attack-favoring melee shikigami in the early game. We have also adjusted the effect of Occult: Purge Evil so that it offers advantages more relevant to DPS-type shikigami.
