April 7th, 2023 Update Patch Notes

The April 7th 2023 Update sees Furi, Hone Onna, Kainin, Yuki Onna, Mushishi, Susabi, Tenjo Kudari, Kani Hime, and Hangan have been adjusted.

New Events

Upsurging Tide

Event Period: April 7th after maintenance to April 16th, 2023.

During the event period, log in for 7 days to claim the Upsurging Tide Avatar Frame, Skin Token Vouchers, and other rare rewards.

Event Period: April 7th to April 13th, 2023.

Log in to the game during the event to claim 3 Decoy Fires. Decoy Fires can prevent one Soul Fire from being extinguished when onmyoji of Challenger tier or below take part in Ranked Match in a team.

Double Bonus

Event Period: April 7th to April 13th, 2023.

During the event, when you join Ranked Matches during the period from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, you can earn various double bonuses for the first 3 battles, including coin bonus, bond bonus, and shikigami proficiency bonus. Further details can be checked via the schedule list. Don’t miss out!

Balance Adjustments

Furi

Furi can deal a large amount of damage by attaching bombs to several minions and is too strong when laning. We hope to restrict this situation.

Ability 1: Sticky Bombs

Reduced damage to other units from 50% to 25% when bombs attached to minions detonate.

Hone Onna

We have noticed that Hone Onna’s Ultimate Ability: Resentment leaves her vulnerable to attacks from enemy shikigami when charging and tends to be blocked by enemy units along the path when casting. We hope to optimize the casting experience of Hone Onna’s Ultimate Ability: Resentment.

Ultimate Ability: Resentment

Hone Onna cannot be selected while charging. Thrust will not be blocked.

Increased displacement distance from 550 to 650.

Reduced bonus damage range from 300 to 200.

Deals damage to enemy shikigami along the path.

Kainin

Kainin needs to use her Trait and Abilities to move away from monsters when jungling, which is somewhat difficult for players. We wish to retain this feature, allowing Kainin to put it to good use against enemy shikigami, and reduce the difficulty in controlling her while jungling.

Trait: Solo Ninja Scroll

Adjusted to trigger when no enemy shikigami is in range.

Ability 2: Shadow Strike

Adjusted the damage against monsters not at the end of her path so that it is the same as the damage dealt to monsters that are.

Yuki Onna

As a Mage shikigami, Yuki Onna’s current capability in inflicting control effects is relatively strong while her damage is quite weak. We hope that enhancing her damage can increase how often she is used in the middle lane.

Ability 1: Dusk Snows

Increased the Ability Power bonus of ice crystal explosions from 0.45 to 0.55.

Ability 2: Marshmallow

Increased the max Ability Power bonus of snowball explosions from 0.85 to 1.

Mushishi

When in the Butterfly Dream state, Mushishi’s Ultimate Ability: Cleansing Dream makes ally shikigami Control-immune and grants them a strong Haste effect, rendering it difficult for enemy shikigami to counter. We have adjusted the Control-immune effect of this ability to control removal and reduced the Haste effect in hopes of leaving sufficient room for both sides to counter. At the same time, we have increased Mushishi’s combat capability in the Self-actualization state to provide players who favor Mushishi with a better experience.

Increased Slow effect from 30% to 50%.

Ultimate Ability: Cleansing Dream

Adjusted being Control-immune for 1 second to control removal.

Reduced Haste effect from 50%/60%/70% to 30%/40%/50%.

Susabi

Among Susabi’s current abilities, he is more reliant on Ability 2: Celestial Chain, with there being a rather large difference between the maximum and minimum damage depending on whether the ability hits. To improve this experience to some extent, we have optimized the ballistic speed of Susabi’s Ability 2: Celestial Chain. Furthermore, as Susabi’s Ultimate Ability: Stellar Justice is rather strict on timing, we have adjusted Susabi’s mechanic to give him more freedom in selecting a time to cast the Ultimate.

Increased ballistic speed from 1,200 to 1,400.

While casting the Ultimate Ability, if there is less than 5 Stellar Energy, each Stellar Energy Susabi has increases the shield he gains, as well as the entry speed and quantity of the asteroids.

Tenjo Kudari

The spirit house summoned by Tenjo Kudari’s Ultimate Ability: Rain Shelter provides high mobility, making it difficult for enemy shikigami to counter. We have also noticed that Tenjo Kudari’s Ability 1: Rock Throw is too strong when laning. Therefore, we hope that reducing the mobility of the spirit house summoned by the Ultimate Ability: Rain Shelter can leave sufficient room for both sides to counter. At the same time, we have reduced the damage range of Tenjo Kudari’s Ability 1: Rock Throw after bouncing twice.

We will be increasing the shield and recovery effects that Tenjo Kudari provides, as well as slightly increasing the damage dealt by Ability 1: Rock Throw, to improve the gameplay experience for players who like Tenjo Kudari.

Ability 1: Rock Throw

Reduced the bouncing range from 200/250/300 to 200/225/250.

Increased base damage from 90/135/180/225/270 to 100/145/190/235/280.

Ultimate Ability: Rain Shelter

Reduced the distance shikigami displace upon leaving the spirit house from 700 to 400.

Increased the shield granted from 150/250/350 (+70% of Ability Power) to 250/350/450 (+100% of Ability Power).

Kani Hime

Kani Hime is currently quite powerful in the top lane. As a Tank shikigami, Kani Hime’s support and damage capabilities are fairly strong. We hope to weaken Kani Hime’s support capability while laning and reduce her damage in teamfights.

Ability 1: Conch Hammer

Reduced max HP bonus damage from 12%/13.5%/15%/16.5%/18% to 12%/12.5%/13%/13.5%/14%.

Ability 2: Vice Grip!

Reduced Haste duration from 4.5 seconds to 3 seconds.

Hangan

We have noticed that Hangan is currently quite weak. We hope that by increasing Hangan’s Ability Power bonus, he can perform at a reasonable level in the late game. At the same time, we have slightly reduced the stability of Hangan’s ability hits to ensure a balance in matches.

Ability 1: Bind

The closer the target hit by the charm, the further the flight distance.

Ability 2: Death Writ

Increased delay from 0.5 seconds to 0.7 seconds.

Increased Ability Power bonus from 0.45 to 0.6.

Increased base from 90/150/210/270/330 to 140/205/270/335/400.

Ability 3: Death Penalty

Adjusted damage from 300/400/500 (+60% of Ability Power) to 300/400/500 (+75% of Ability Power).

Optimizations and Adjustments

Optimized the control for enhanced basic attacks when Kosodenote’s Ability 1: Hidden Sting hits weaknesses. For the duration of the enhancement, casting Ability 3: Flying Sting will no longer interrupt enhanced basic attacks.

Optimized the casting experience of Kosodenote’s Ultimate Ability: Flawless Sting. When Flawless Sting hits targets with 3 Thread marks, Kosodenote immediately gains a shield.

Optimized the casting experience of Kani Hime’s Ability 3: Crab Pounce. The range for error is now larger when aiming.

Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments

We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on 4/10. The new free shikigami will be Komatsu, Yamausagi, Karasu Tengu, Hone Onna, Aoandon, Youko, Ootengu, and Ittan-momen.

Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Jorogumo and Inugami.

Of these shikigami, Ittan-momen has a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use her in battle for free.
