August 28th 2020 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena August 28th 2020 Update sees new shikigami Kani Hime will first be available during this week’s Shikigami Brawl.
Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on August 31. The new free shikigami will be Futakuchi, Hiyoribou, Hououga, Hakuzosu, Ootengu, Shishio, Puppeteer, and Lord Arakawa.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Ichimokuren and Menreiki.
Of these shikigami, Puppeteer and Lord Arakawa have a difficulty of Extreme. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
New Shikigami Kani Hime
“That Kraken should taste good if we roast it…”
An outstanding foodie from the Suzuka Mountains, Kani Hime’s small body contains immense power! She has strong hunting capabilities and can use her Ability 3: Crab Pounce! to quickly close in on her prey. Huh? It has a shell? No need to worry. Kani Hime can smash through anything with her Conch Hammer! What? Now it’s trying to escape? No need to worry again. Kani Hime will teach it how to become a good prey that waits quietly for its eventual fate with her big claw.
Trait: Crab Shell
Passive Effect: When Kani Hime is controlled, she will receive a shield that can block a certain amount of damage. This effect has a cooldown.
Ability 1: Conch Hammer
Kani Hime raises her Conch Hammer and deals physical damage to enemies within a rectangular range in the designated direction after a short delay. She recovers a certain amount of HP for each enemy hit, and more HP is recovered for each enemy shikigami hit.
Ability 2: Vice Grip!
Kani Hime focuses her power in her crab claw for a certain period of time, during which she gains a Movement Speed bonus, and her next basic attack will grip the enemy tightly to deal physical damage. If she grips an enemy shikigami, she will be linked to them by a water current, making them unable to use displacement abilities.
Ability 3: Crab Pounce!
Kani Hime charges in the direction of the designated enemy for a fixed distance, dealing physical damage to enemies in her path and pushing them to the final destination. If she pushes the enemy into terrain, the enemy will take additional physical damage and will be stunned for a certain period of time.
Ultimate Ability: Conch Maelstrom
Kani Hime brandishes her Conch Hammer with all her might and charges before jumping and smashing it at the designated position, dealing physical damage to enemies within range and knocking them up in all directions. Enemies closer to the drop point will be knocked up further.
The distance of the jump and damage dealt will increase according to the charging time. Charge for a certain period of time to reach the maximum.
Kani Hime will first be available during this week’s Shikigami Brawl.
Shikigami Adjustments
Hangan
We have adjusted the maximum number of souls that Hangan can absorb, and increased his Ability Power bonus at maximum stacks. Also, we have removed the mechanic where Hangan will lose all his souls after being sealed in the hope that Hangan will be able to continuously collect souls in battle and increase his Ability Power.
Trait: Book of Life
Adjusted the maximum number of souls that can be absorbed from 40 to 60.
Removed effect: Loses 10 souls on death.
Ability 1: Soul Devour
Adjusted Ability Power increase of each soul from 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 to 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5.
Itsumade
Currently, Itsumade’s jungling speed is relatively slow and she will lose a lot of HP. We have suitably increased the damage dealt to monsters by her Trait: Golden Feather and shortened the time needed to generate her Passive in the hope that this will help to speed up her jungling.
Trait: Golden Feather
Adjusted interval of automatically getting a Golden Feather from 8 seconds to 6 seconds.
Adjusted damage coefficient to monsters from 1 to 1.1.
Kuro Mujou
After some observation, we have noticed that Kuro Mujou’s strength has been affected to a certain extent after fixing the issues with his fan-shaped casts. Hence, we have suitably increased the cast range of his Ability 2: Punishment.
Ability 2: Punishment
Adjusted cast range from 550 yards to 600 yards.
Kisei
We have increased the error tolerance for Kisei’s Ability 1: Black Stone’s Flight in the hope that this will reduce some of the difficulty of using Kisei.
Ability 1: Black Stone’s Flight
Added an error tolerance mechanic: Black stones placed a certain range outside the boundary of the previous black stone will automatically be placed on the boundary.
Shishio
Shishio’s performance is currently weak whether in the top lane or when jungling. We have increased the strength of his abilities in the hope that this will make the positioning of his abilities clearer—Ability 1: Antler Gore is mainly for its Haste effect, Ability 2: Fury of the Forest is mainly for its damage, and Ability 3: Circle of Life is mainly for its Shield effect.
Ability 1: Antler Gore
Adjusted the final value of Haste after reduction from 0% to 50%.
Adjusted extra Attack bonus from 110% to 90%.
Ability 2: Fury of the Forest
Adjusted damage from 5/15/25/35/45 (+8% extra Attack) (+1.4% of target’s Max HP) to 7/19/31/43/55 (+12% extra Attack) (+1.4/1.5/1.6/1.7/1.8% of target’s Max HP).
Adjusted maximum damage to monsters from 10/25/40/55/70 to 20 (+5*level).
Ability 3: Circle of Life
Adjusted Shield points from 20/55/90/125/160 (7/8/9/10/11% of Max HP) to 20/60/100/140/180 (+10/11/12/13/14% of Max HP).
Adjusted damage from 20/45/70/95/120 (+6/7/8/9/10% of target’s Max HP) to 10/30/50/70/90 (+5/5.5/6/6.5/7% of target’s Max HP).

Optimizations and Adjustments
When carrying the Subdue spell, it will now display the precise HP location on the monster’s HP bar at which the monster can be killed by Subdue. Also, in the status bar, it will display the detailed amount of damage that Subdue can deal to monster units at the current level.
