July 8th 2022 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena July 8th, 2022 Update sees Aobozu: Buddha’s Heart Form has buffed and Aobozu: Demonbane Form has nerfed.
Balance Adjustments
Aobozu: Buddha’s Heart Form
All along, the overall strength of Aobozu’s Demonbane Form has been higher than his Buddha’s Heart Form. Therefore, we are enhancing the bonuses and hit feedback of his Buddha’s Heart Form such that they revolve around the Buddha’s Heart mark. We hope that our changes will underscore Aobozu’s positioning as a front-row Samurai shikigami and highlight his unique gameplay experience.
Ultimate Ability: Everything Is Empty
New: Adds a stack of Buddha’s Heart to enemies that are hit.
Ability 2: Divine Greatness
New: When a Buddha’s Heart mark is broken, additionally inflicts a Stun effect on the target. This effect can only be triggered once every 8 seconds against the same shikigami.
Aobozu: Demonbane Form
Ability 2: Divine Greatness
Reduced Max HP bonus from 4%/8% to 2.5%/5%.
Ability 3: Fortification
Increased cooldown from 8 seconds to 9 seconds.
Mahjong Chess Balance Adjustments
As Samurai tiles can readily find tiles of the same type in the mid game, it is easier for them to reach 3-star compared to the other bond tiles. We will thus be reducing the damage of Samurai tiles before they reach 3-star. We have also adjusted the ability cooldown and damage of individual tiles.
Ibaraki Doji
Infernal Hand: Increased cooldown from 11/10/8 seconds to 12/11/10 seconds.
Ryomen
Divine Combo: Increased cooldown from 6/6/6 seconds to 7/7/7 seconds. Reduced damage dealt to surrounding enemies from 90/144/213 to 80/120/198.
Kuro Mujou
Fickle Doom: Increased cooldown from 8/7/6 seconds to 9/9/9 seconds.
Passive Ability: Reduced reflected damage of all units from (+100/200/300% of Armor) to (+75/80/130% of Armor) when attacked.
Yoto Hime
Ominous Blade: Reduced cooldown from 12/12/12 seconds to 11/10/9 seconds.
Bond Adjustments
Increased Crit Damage of the Ninja bond from 60/70% to 60/75%.
Adjustments and Fixes
Adjusted the disappearing effect of Asura’s ultimate ability, so that it matches better with his ability’s actual effect.
New Events
Fire Assistance
Event Period: July 8th – July 14th, 2022.
Log in to the game during the event to claim 3 Decoy Fires. Decoy Fires can prevent one soul fire from being extinguished when onmyoji of Challenger tier or below take part in Ranked Match in a team.
Double Bonus
Event Period: July 8th – July 14th, 2022.
During the event, when you join Ranked Matches during the period of 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, you can earn various double bonuses for the first 3 battles, including coin bonus, bond bonus, and shikigami proficiency bonus. Further details can be checked via the schedule list. Don’t miss out!
Free Shikigami Lineup
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on 7/11. The new free shikigami will be Enma, Umibozu, Hououga, Jorogumo, Inugami, Tamamonomae, Kyonshi Ani, and Kosodenote.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Ryomen and Izaya.
Of these shikigami, Kyonshi Ani and Kosodenote have a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
