Nintendo Switch Closed Beta 2 FAQs

Arena of Valor developer, Tencent Games has announced Nintendo Switch version Closed Beta 2 is coming later this summer and here are most common questions for new players in this Closed Beta.

How can I get access to the Closed Beta?

To participate in the Closed Beta Test, please use this link to apply. Chosen players will later receive a redemption code sent to their email.

If I participated in the previous Closed Beta in Europe, do I need to apply again?

No. All players who participated in the previous Closed Beta will be able to re-download the client from their Download History and update to the new version and play.

Will there be additional ways to join the Closed Beta?

Yes, please stay tuned for upcoming announcements for other ways you can earn a redemption code.

When will the Closed Beta take place?

Coming later this summer and it is planned to last for two weeks.

How do I activate the redemption code?

Please visit Nintendo’s official support for instructions how to redeem a code on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

Which countries are able to join this Closed Beta?

The Closed Beta will be available to players in the following countries that are supported by the Nintendo eShop:

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

North America: United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Can players from Turkey join in this Closed Beta?

Unfortunately, no. There is no Nintendo eShop in this region, therefore we are unable to provide a redemption code.

Are there any exclusives for beta players when the game launches?

All players who have participated in either of our Closed Beta tests will receive an exclusive skin for free when the game launches on Nintendo Switch. (this skin will not be provided to accounts on Android or iOS)

Will my account in the beta be the same when the game launches?

No, all progress will be wiped after the Closed Beta test.

What will be unlocked during this Closed Beta?

We will have a weekly rotation of 5-10 free heroes to be played during the test. Select skins will also be available for Vouchers, a premium currency. Since real-money purchases are locked for this beta, we will have promo code giveaways during the beta for players to unlock Skins and help us to test the purchasing functions.

Do I have to buy new heroes in the Closed Beta?

Yes, but no real money purchases are required. All Heroes will be available using Gold, which is earned by playing the game. All Heroes will be heavily discounted for the beta. Players will be able to unlock at least one hero by winning just one match.
