Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG have announced that free-to-play MMOARPG Lost Ark official launch date in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania is February 11th, 2022. Founder Pack owners will be able to begin playing on February 8th, 2022 with the three-day head start.
When Lost Ark launches, the new Sorceress class will be available to players. The Sorceress will replace the previously included Summoner class in the starting class line-up, and the Summoner will instead come to Arkesia at a later date.
Here is Amazon Games official announcement for starting class lineup:
Our version of Lost Ark will still include 15 classes at launch, with additional classes coming to the game in future updates. When working with Smilegate RPG to select the starting class lineup, we considered the following criteria to ensure that our lineup was balanced, with a little something for everyone.
New and familiar
While our version of Lost Ark does not yet contain all 20+ classes, we wanted to ensure that we included content that is new and exciting alongside some old favorites of players. Sorceress is the newest class to be added to Lost Ark, having launched in Korea in August 2021, so we’re very excited to be able to share this class (and the Striker class) with our players!
A wide range of playstyles
It was important to us to ensure that we included a range of classes to suit the many ways that people like to play. While there are plenty of ways to DPS, we also made sure to include multiple support classes (Paladin and Bard) so that support players could have more options at game launch, as opposed to launching with just a single support class as the game has in other regions.
Gender locked classes
From the earliest days of Lost Ark’s announcement in the West, we heard players’ feedback about gender locked classes loud and clear. While not every class in the game currently has a male and female counterpart available, we wanted to be sure to include those that do early on. In the future, Smilegate RPG will be creating more counterparts for classes that are still gender locked, and we will bring these to Arkesia in time.
Warriors are the powerhouses of Arkesia. They may not be the most nimble, so they stand their ground and make up for mobility with cataclysmic impact.
Berserker: Berserkers are always powerful warriors, with their high-damage greatsword attacks and potent defense, but when they enter their burst mode, they’re all but unstoppable. In this heightened state, they gain increased attack and movement speed and unlock a special skill that delivers a world of hurt to their enemies.
|Infuse your greatsword to create Berserk Fury and deliver a powerful strike. Attack range and damage scale up with how much this skill is charged.
|Concentrate energy on your greatsword and release it forward, cleaving the ground. This skill can be charged to inflict more damage.
|Spin around with the greatsword to inflict damage.
|Jump and swing your greatsword to deal damage and launch foes into the sky, then strike down to deal damage again and knock them down.
|Thrust your greatsword into the ground, inflicting damage. Hold and attack to deal more damage. Hit this skill’s Perfect zone to deliver a finishing blow that inflicts even more damage and launches foes in the air.
Paladin: Paladins have a direct line to the powers of the gods, channeling their ancient might into potent offensive and defensive moves alike: They can use holy skills and buffs with the holy book to support their team from behind, or wield a sword and bring punishing skills to bear on the frontline.
|Jump up and unleash a holy light that shines toward your cursor position for an attack that penetrates through even guardian monsters. Inflict damage on surrounding foes upon landing and create a barrier for yourself and party members.
|Wrath of God
|Call forth the energy of sacred thunder into your weapon and deal damage to surrounding foes.
|Execution of Justice
|Hold your sword with one hand and quickly spin in position to deal damage to your foe, then perform a crushing blow that deals damage.
|Law of God
|Summon a magick circle of light through holy scriptures. Texts made of infinite light swirl within the magick circle, dealing damage to foes for 2 seconds.
|Slowly move forward and slash your foe 7 times.
Gunlancer: As the first line of defense, gunlancers take the brunt of enemy attacks with their defensive stance and battlefield shield to keep the rest of their party safe. While their gun lance is a formidable weapon, their true value derives from their ability to protect allies and absorb damage like a sponge.
|While in a defensive stance, focus energy and thrust your spear in front of you. You can slowly change the direction of the attack while focusing energy. Damage increases the more you charge up the attack.
|Leap toward the target location to strike at the ground, inflicting damage.
|Throw a long chained hook to deal damage, then pull that foe to you to deal more damage.
|Upon using the skill, recover 100% of your shield meter and release a 10m radius protection aura in the nearby area for 10s. Foes within the aura take damage and become stunned. Within the aura, you and your party take less damage and become immune to pushes and debuffs.
|Perform a shelling attack at foes at close range, dealing damage.
These quick-footed fighters like to rush the enemy with combined attacks at lethal speeds that can only be described as breakneck.

|Fist of Dominance
|Use the power of elementals and release an energy field, pulling foes close. Fly past foes and attack up to 6 times while absorbing 6 elemental forces, inflicting damage. You receive less damage from incoming attacks while flying past foes.

|Eye of Twilight
|Turn back from your closest foe, mark them as a dueling target, and apply the Eye of Twilight debuff on them, reducing your target’s move and attack speed. After 2s, fire with your revolver, damaging all foes and staggering foes with the Eye of Twilight debuff.
|Fires a powerful explosive bullet, inflicting damage and launching foes into the air.
|Fire a plasma bullet that travels at a low speed while continuously inflicting damage.
