February 24th, 2023 Update Patch Notes

The February 24th, 2023 Update sees new Support shikigami Akaname make his debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.

New Shikigami Akaname

With Akaname present, there won’t be any stubborn stains that cannot be cleaned.

Akaname is a Support shikigami with continuous ranged damage output. In terms of ability design, we provided Akaname with greater functionality to ensure his capabilities as a Support. Furthermore, in the mid to late game Akaname can also rely on his high damage growth characteristics to undertake the responsibilities of a ranged continuous DPS to a certain extent.

Trait: Master Cleaner

When Akaname and ally shikigami are affected by debuffs, they gain a Stain. Each time Akaname removes Stains, he provides ally shikigami with a Shield and also deals damage and inflicts Slow on enemies. When Akaname cleans up Stains, he will gain Dirt. Akaname gains a Crit Damage buff when he collects Dirt. Akaname also gains Coins and a Crit Rate buff when collecting a specific amount of Dirt. A maximum of 50 Dirt can be collected and any that exceeds the limit will be converted to Grime.

Ability 1: Sweeping Time

Akaname gains Grime when his basic attacks or abilities hit enemy shikigami. After collecting 3 Grime, this ability will be unlocked, allowing selection between different effects:

Dirty Up: Enhances next basic attack, dealing bonus damage and inflicting Slow. When Akaname has 50 Dirt, basic attack will be enhanced and damage will be increased.

Rub Down: Restores HP to ally shikigami within range and dispels all Stains on them.

Ability 2: Rinse Out

Akaname pours water to wash the area ahead, cleaning all Stains of units within the area. If the water hits an ally unit, it applies a Movement Speed Bonus. If the water hits an enemy unit, it deals damage. When this ability hits an enemy shikigami, Akaname gains 1 Grime.

Ability 3: Dirt Begone

Akaname throws three dirt balls that deal damage and inflict a Slow effect on enemies within range. Hitting the same enemy twice in a row will inflict a Stun effect on them. Upon hitting an enemy shikigami, adds a Stain on them and grants 1 Grime to Akaname.

Ultimate Ability: Nice and Clean

Grants a Shield and Reduce Control effect to an ally shikigami, and generates a clean area near them. When the clean area disappears, grants a Shield to ally shikigami within range and removes their Stains.

This week sees Akaname make his debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.

The Akaname Selection Pack will also be available in the General Store. The selection pack includes the new shikigami Akaname, his dyed skin Scarlet Sun, Evolved Form Amulet x1, Taichi Mudra x1, and Weeping Sakura x8. You can select which to purchase! The Akaname Selection Pack will be available till 11:59 PM on 3/9/2023. Don’t miss out on this chance to get Akaname!

Balance Adjustments

Shiro

The casting animation of Shiro’s Ultimate Ability, Wandering Soul is slightly long and its accuracy is relatively low. That’s why we’ve slightly extended the Attack Range of this ability to increase its accuracy.

Ultimate Ability: Wandering Soul

Increased the Attack Range of Empty Soul from 80 to 180.

Futakuchi

As a Marksman shikigami that relies on abilities to deal damage, Futakuchi’s current performance is underwhelming. That’s why we’ve increased the damage bonus of Futakuchi’s Trait: Gonna Blow and the Attack Speed Bonus of her Ability 1: Scary. We hope that this will allow players who like Futakuchi to use her more frequently during matches.

Trait: Gonna Blow

Increased the base damage of each stack from 15% Attack to 18% Attack.

Ability 1: Scary

Increased Attack Speed increase from 30%/42.5%/55%/67.5%/80% to 40%/52.5%/65%/77.5%/90%.

Aori

Aori’s performance in the mid game is rather underwhelming and it is difficult for her to gain an advantage against other Mage shikigami in battle. That’s why we’ve lowered the cooldown duration of her Ability 1: Galaxy Amulet and increased the damage of her Ultimate Ability: Final Red Star in hopes of making her more capable of resisting enemies and increasing how often she is used in matches.

Ability 1: Galaxy Amulet

Reduced ability cooldown from 4.6/4.2/3.8/3.4/3 seconds to 4.6/4.1/3.6/3.1/2.6 seconds.

Ultimate Ability: Final Red Star

Increased initial base damage from 90/165/240 to 105/180/255.

Increased base damage of each subsequent instance from 45/82.5/120 to 52.5/90/127.5.

Higanbana

Higanbana has shown strong performance in the early game. That’s why we’ve reduced her recovery effect in the early game and increased the cooldown of her Ability 3: Blood-soaked Flowers. We hope that this will balance the difference in her performance between the early and late game.

Natural Passive: Blooming Earth

Reduced passive recovery from 20 (+35% AP) (+10*current level) to 5 (+35% AP) (+10*current level) HP.

Ability 3: Blood-soaked Flowers

Increased ability cooldown from 7.5/6.5/5.5/4.5/3.5 seconds to 9.5/8/6.5/5/3.5 seconds.

Kidomaru

Kidomaru is relatively weak when laning in the Bot lane. That’s why we’ve increased the landing speed of the imps of Ability 1: Killing Satisfaction in hopes of increasing its accuracy. We’ve also slightly increased the basic attack damage of the imps to improve Kidomaru’s performance in the early game.

Ability 1: Killing Satisfaction

Increased imp landing speed from 1200 to 1800.

Increased imps’ basic attack damage from (18% Attack) (+1% of target’s Max HP) to 3 (+18% Attack) (+1% of target’s Max HP).

Enmusubi

The Control Immunity effect of Enmusubi’s Ability 3: Soul Mate can protect both Enmusubi and her allies for a relatively long duration, allowing little room for enemy shikigami to counter. That’s why we’ve reduced the Control Immunity duration of Enmusubi’s Ability 3: Soul Mate to ensure both sides have a reasonable chance to counter one another during battle.

We’ve discovered that some players rely on the mechanics of Enmusubi’s Trait: Fate Realized to constantly follow enemy Junglers, resulting in them being sealed too often. As this situation negatively affects the game experience for both sides, we’ve increased the resurrection time required when Enmusubi is sealed.

Trait: Fate Realized

Increased resurrection time required after being sealed at all levels by 5 seconds.

Ability 3: Soul Mate

Reduced the duration of Control Immunity from 4 seconds to 2.5 seconds.

Item Adjustments

Eye of Orochi

Reduced cooldown of Cold Cry from 15 seconds to 10 seconds.

Demon Encounter

Enmusubi

Ability 2: Perfect Pair

After any one of the bonded targets has been sealed, the effect of bringing the targets together when they go out of range will no longer trigger.

Demon Parade Adjustments

We hope that after defeating Serpent Priestess, regardless whether it is an advantageous or disadvantageous situation, players can rely on Demon Parade to push effectively. That’s why we’ve added the ability to quickly KO Super Minions for the Demon Parade lane.

Added: The Demon Parade lane will deal damage equal to a percentage of Max HP to Super Minions.

Optimizations and Adjustments

Optimized the pop-up logic for the next preorder suggested. It will no longer pop up while in battle against an enemy shikigami. Furthermore, players will no longer be able tap to enter the Shop for the first 2 seconds that the pop-up is displayed.

Fixed the issues where the vision revealed by Jorogumo’s Ability 3: Spider Symbol was too big, there was a chance of lagging while being displaced by Ability 1: Venom Claw, and the range of tarantulas of the Ultimate: Arachnid Swarm was abnormal under certain special combos.

Optimized the display logic of the outside-of-match model for the folding fan form of Shiranui’s Royal Skin, Möbius Galaxy. Currently, the folding fan form displayed in the Shikigami screen can appear in the Lobby as well.
