July 30th 2021 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena July 30th 2021 Update sees new Samurai shikigami Asura make his official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.
Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
Onmyoji Arena will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on August 2nd, 2021. The new free shikigami will be Futakuchi, Kaguya, Tanuki, Tamamonomae, Kyuumei Neko, Tesso, Satori, and Kisei.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Aoandon and Jorogumo.
Of these shikigami, Satori and Kisei have a difficulty of Extreme and Hard respectively. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
New Shikigami Asura
“Let the flames from this abyss burn that hypocritical heaven to ashes!”
In Onmyoji Arena, Asura is a Samurai shikigami who can flexibly switch between melee and ranged forms. Bone Whip (ranged form) can continuously harass and control, while Bone Sword (melee form) can deal high damage to enemies nearby, allowing Asura to finish off the enemy. Asura consumes Rationality when casting abilities. When Rationality reaches 0, he will be unable to use abilities, but basic attacks will deal bonus damage. Effectively managing Rationality while chaining is the key to maximizing Asura’s potential on the battlefield.
Trait: Son of Darkness
Asura consumes Rationality when casting abilities and recovers Rationality if he doesn’t cast abilities or use basic attacks for a period of time. When Rationality reaches 0, he will be unable to use abilities until Rationality returns to maximum, but Movement Speed and Attack Speed will be increased, and each basic attack will deal bonus damage.
Ability 1: Lotus Extermination
When Asura’s tentacles are in their Bone Sword form, they will lock on to surrounding enemies and slash five times continuously, dealing AoE damage and restoring HP.
When Asura’s tentacles are in their Bone Whip form, he will shoot four bone whips in the designated direction after a short charging period, dealing damage to enemies along the way. They will be inflicted with Immobilize if hit by three or more bone whips.
Ability 2: Demon Oppression
Asura shoots his bone whip in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies along the way and inflicting Slow. After a short delay, he will move in the direction of the left joystick.
Asura’s tentacles retain their Bone Whip form after this, and can attack at long range.
Ability 3: Uninterrupted Massacre
Asura charges in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies around his destination. If he hits enemy shikigami, some of the cooldown of Uninterrupted Massacre will be returned.
Asura’s tentacles retain their Bone Sword form after this, and can attack at short range.
Ultimate Ability: Purgatory Massacre
Asura leaps into the air and bombards the designated area, dealing damage and forming a Purgatory realm at the area of bombardment, while slashing continuously to deal damage to enemy shikigami within the realm.
Enemy shikigami will be rebounded when they try to pass through the boundary of the realm. This effect will only take effect once on each enemy shikigami.

Shikigami Adjustments
Samurai X
Fixed the issue in which Samurai X’s pact-bound teammate will stack passive because of Samurai X casting abilities.
Ability 1: Bushido Cut
Adjusted Slow effect from 40%/42.5%/45%/47.5%/50% to 30%/35%/40%/45%/50%.
Ability 3: Stronghold
Adjusted duration from 4 second to 3 seconds.
Adjusted Haste effect from 40%/42.5%/45%/47.5%/50% to 30%/35%/40%/45%/50%.
Adjusted Haste effect gained by the pact-bound teammate from 20% to 10%.
Yamawaro
Because Yamawaro’s growth is rather weak, currently he primarily sacrifices his own income to get his team an advantage in some specific tactics. We hope that by enhancing Yamawaro’s growth, he can perform better while in the mid and late game.
Trait: Mountain Shelter
Adjusted highest Bonus Armor and Magic Resist percentage increase from 30% to 40%.
Ability 2: Quake
Adjusted cooldown from 6.5/6/5.5/5/4.5 seconds to 5/4.75/4.5/4.25/4 seconds.
Adjusted target’s Max HP damage from 8% (+0.8% for every 100 Bonus Armor) to 6% (+1.6% for every 100 Bonus Armor).
Reduced Base Damage by 10.
Adjusted MP cost from 30/35/40/45/50 to 30.
Ultimate Ability: Heavy Bludgeon
Adjusted damage from 120/240/360 (+90% extra Attack) to 120/240/360 (+90% extra Attack) (+10% Bonus HP).
