October 21st 2022 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena October 21st, 2022 Update sees new shikigami Tenjo Kudari make her debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.
New Shikigami
Tenjo Kudari
“Although I like humans, I’m also scared of them. Because of this, I could only hide on rooftops and secretly observe them all this time. Over time, the place has surprisingly come to feel like home. This warm, homey feeling is something I’ve never experienced before in my life as a spirit.”
Tenjo Kudari is a Support shikigami who can provide buffs and possesses a certain level of vision suppression, granting her team slightly better mobility. Tenjo Kudari can fill in any information gaps in vision encountered by her teammates and apply mobility bonuses to them, such as Movement Speed and displacement bonuses. She can even turn the tide of battle during a critical moment.
Trait: Look Afar
At short intervals, if Tenjo Kudari casts her ability and hits an enemy shikigami, she deals bonus damage and grants a certain range of flying vision around that shikigami. If an ally shikigami moves toward an enemy shikigami exposed by this flying vision, they gain a Movement Speed bonus.
Ability 1: Rock Throw
Throws a rock at the designated position. If there are any units or terrain in the area where the rock lands, the rock will bounce in the thrown direction up to 2 times. Each bounce increases the damage radius of the rock. The rock also inflicts a Slow effect on any enemy that it hits.
Ability 2: Promise
Places an Eye of the Watcher, which provides a small area of vision at the designated location. Also inflicts a Slow effect on nearby enemies.
Casting the ability again releases a reunion circle in the direction of the Eye of the Watcher. The circle deals damage to enemies within it and inflicts Charm on them.
The area of the reunion circle from the cast ability increases based on the duration that the Eye of the Watcher has been placed.
Ability 3: Joy
Applies the Joy mark to the selected ally shikigami. When an ally shikigami bearing this mark takes damage, a portion of the damage taken will only be calculated after the Joy mark disappears. Damage calculation will not cause the shikigami to be sealed.
While the Joy mark is still applied, the ally shikigami bearing the mark recovers HP when dealing damage to enemy shikigami if there is a delay in their damage calculation.
Ability 4: Rain Shelter
Tenjo Kudari summons a spirit house that can be attacked. Ally shikigami can enter it. Once an ally shikigami enters the spirit house, their abilities will be locked and they will become untargetable. When the shikigami chooses to leave the spirit house, they displace a certain distance in the designated direction, gaining Shield and a Movement Speed bonus.

Mechanics Adjustments
Jorogumo
As Jorogumo is currently seldom played and has a poor win rate, we have made her stronger. We have also optimized her current mechanics and usage issues so that she can perform better in teamfights and when she pursues enemies.
Trait: Spider Queen
Increased damage dealt by tarantula servants.
Ability 2: Web Coil
Jorogumo shoots 4 Spider Webs one by one in the designated direction. Ability 2 will not build up anymore.
Ability 3: Spider Symbol
Casting Ability 1: Venom Claw on enemies bearing the Spider Symbol increases displacement distance and deals bonus damage. When a basic attack hits an enemy bearing the Spider Symbol, the duration of their Spider Symbol can be increased. Ability 3: Spider Symbol only enters cooldown after the Spider Symbol mark has disappeared.
Basic attacks that hit units bearing Spider Symbols no longer deal additional magic damage.
Ultimate Ability: Arachnid Swarm
Tarantulas deal more damage after this ability is cast. When Jorogumo participates in sealing enemy shikigami, tarantulas evolve into poisonous tarantulas.
Optimizations and Adjustments
Fixed the issue where Ichigo Kurosaki’s Ultimate Ability: Hollowfication can be used even when there are no enemy shikigami nearby.
Added a tear mole on the facial area of Onikiri’s skin Piercing Chill.
Free Shikigami Lineup Bulletin
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on 10/24. The new free shikigami will be Enma, Kaguya, Shuten Doji, Yamawaro, Mannendake, Kiyohime, Shiranui, and Yasha.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Shouzu and Kamimai.
Of these shikigami, Shiranui and Yasha have a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
