November 13th 2020 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena November 13th 2020 Update sees new shikigami Kujira makes his official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.
Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on November 16th, 2020. The new free shikigami will be Chin, Kaguya, Kyonshi Imoto, Mannendake, Shiro Mujou, Jikikaeru, Satori, and Ittan-momen.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Yoto Hime and Kingyo.
Of these shikigami, Satori and Ittan-momen have a difficulty of Extreme and Hard respectively. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
New Shikigami Invades Heian-kyo!
This week sees Kujira makes his official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield. His dyed skin, Solemn Guard is also available in the Skin Shop.
The new shikigami Kujira can be claimed for free in the Shop, and his abilities will be adjusted and optimized according to his combat performance in following updates.

Shikigami Adjustments
Suzuka Gozen
Currently, Suzuka Gozen has powerful lane clearing capability and can deal high burst damage. At the same time, her ability 3 Defensive Circle can also counter most of the middle lane shikigami.
This makes her a powerful threat in the middle lane, but her performance in the bottom lane is lacking. We have made some adjustments to her abilities, in hopes that we can better make her fit the positioning of a Marksman, while still maintaining her core gameplay.
Trait: Sharp Weapon
Adjusted reduction in damage when her enhanced basic attack hits multiple targets from 10% to 15%.
Ability 1: Mountain Spirit (Adjusted)
Active effect: Suzuka Gozen slashes her Shadow Bow in the designated direction, releasing a blade of light that deals physical damage to enemies hit in its path.
Passive trigger: The cooldown of this ability is reduced by 15% when a Pursuit Shadow hits an enemy shikigami.
Ability 2: Valiant Cry (Redesigned)
Suzuka Gozen charges in the designated direction. When she reaches her final destination, she will shoot a sharp arrow in the enemy’s direction, dealing physical damage and inflicting a Slow effect on the target hit for 1.5 seconds.
If she uses this ability again within 5 seconds, Suzuka Gozen will move in the designated direction again, and attack the closest enemy when she reaches her final destination. She deals physical damage and disarms them for 1 second.
Ability 3: Defensive Circle (Adjusted)
Suzuka Gozen activates a defensive circle, during which she can block damage from enemies 3 times. She can block a maximum of 30-130 damage each time. Her Movement Speed is also increased for 4 seconds.
Ultimate Ability: Feathered Surf (Adjusted)
Suzuka Gozen shoots her Shadow Bow in the designated direction, dealing physical damage to enemies within range. She creates a circle of feathers at the same time that lasts for 3 seconds and continuously attacks enemies within range, dealing physical damage and inflicting a 65% Slow effect that lasts 0.35 seconds on targets every 0.3 seconds.
Kubinashi
The last time we made adjustments to Kubinashi, we reduced the cooldown of his displacement abilities when withdrawing while also increasing the cooldown of Swift Strike when attacking. However, the overall effects of these adjustments didn’t meet our expectations, so we decided to adjust the cooldown of his Ability 2 once again.
Ability 2: Swift Strike
Adjusted cooldown from 8.5/7.5/6.5/5.5/4.5 seconds to 7.5/6.5/5.5/4.5/3.5 seconds.
Mechanical Adjustments
EXP Distribution Rules
After season adjustments, sealing opponents will earn more EXP and Gold, meaning that certain shikigami levels and income will be greatly increased. We have properly adjusted the distribution rules for EXP gained from seals and assists to avoid giving these shikigami an unfair advantage.
In situations where multiple shikigami assist in sealing an opponent, the percentage of EXP gained from the seal has been adjusted from 55% to 50-33% (decreases as the number of shikigami taking part in sealing an opponent increases).
Heian-kyo Showdown Available Times: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 20:00-22:00.
Item Adjustments
Heaven’s Thunder
Fixed an issue in which basic attacks that can deal group damage reduce the cooldown of Thunder repeatedly when a single basic attack hits multiple units.
