November 6th 2020 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena November 6th 2020 Update sees new shikigami Kujira will first be available during this week’s Shikigami Brawl.
Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on November 9th, 2020. The new free shikigami will be Komatsu, Kusa, Jorogumo, Yuki, Hangan, Kubinashi, Kuro Mujou, and Puppeteer.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Takiyasha Hime and Tamamonomae.
Of these shikigami, Kuro Mujou and Puppeteer have a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
New Shikigami Kujira
“My friend, my master, my enemy—I’ll never forget these three oaths.”
Kujira uses his friend’s whale bones as a blade, and can deal splash damage with Bone Sword to threaten enemies. With this as the core, combined with displacement abilities and adjustment of positioning, he can deal damage and control enemies from mid to long range distances to deal powerful strikes to the enemies.
Trait: Bone Sword
Passive Effect: Kujira enhances his next basic attack at regular intervals. The enhanced basic attack will deal physical damage to the target and enemies behind them.
When Kujira deals ability damage to enemy shikigami or monsters, he marks them with Bone Sword. This mark will be triggered when dealing ability damage to the target again, which will deal additional physical damage.
Ability 1: Whale Bone: Open
Kujira slices in the designated direction with breaker power, dealing physical damage to enemies in his path and inflicting a Slow effect on them. He recovers HP when he hits an enemy, and the HP recovered is increased if an enemy shikigami is hit.
Ability 2: Whale Bone: Coil
Kujira releases his bone chain in the designated direction, dealing physical damage to the first target hit, and inflicting a Slow effect. If there is terrain or other enemies behind the target hit, the bone chain will form a connection between the targets, and additionally stun them.
Ability 3: Whale Bone: Station
Kujira charges in the designated direction, and grants himself a bone shield that can block damage.
Ultimate Ability: Surging Bones
Kujira summons whale bones and swims to the designated area. When he reaches the target area, he knocks up enemies within range, and deals physical damage to them.
Kujira will first be available during this week’s Shikigami Brawl.
Data Adjustments
Currently, it only takes a short amount of time to kill Orochi, and it has relatively weak Attack Damage, leading to the disadvantaged team having almost no room for maneuvering. We have thus increased Orochi’s HP and Attack Damage, in hopes that this will balance out the disadvantage between the teams due to vision and power when contesting Orochi.
At the same time, we have adjusted Enma and Chin’s maximum damage dealt to monsters in the mid and late game to avoid the issue of them being much better at attacking Orochi compared to other shikigami.
