The Onmyoji Arena April 28th, 2023 Update sees new skins Tasty Takoyaki, Moon Among Holy Thorns, and Fallen Relict arrives.

Daruma Blessing

Daruma Blessing has new goods! Accumulated rewards have been reset!

Ubume’s Royal skin, Hope: Homeward Flight, will be available to redeem for a limited time from April 28th after maintenance to June 29th, 2023. Redeem it to get the corresponding Royal avatar frame. Don’t miss out!

This update will reset the total number of item exchanges and total number of draws.

Elegy of the Azure Moon

Event Period: April 28th after maintenance to June 4th, 2023.

The Elegy of the Azure Moon large-scale lore event officially begins! Participate in the event to claim Auspicious Daruma, Return Cursed Seal, Seal Effect, Broadcast Theme, Expression, War Banner, and other event-exclusive rewards! Follow the traces of your old friend and relive the elegy and ritual that once summoned the Azure Moon.

To let players better experience Ballad of the Azure Moon—the brand-new lore on the Heian-kyo battlefield, and to allow players to immerse themselves in this theme’s atmosphere, the Service Team has revamped the battlefield map assets for a limited time. Furthermore, during the event, players can use the brand-new themed minion look Barren Moon Puppet, the turret look Derelict Mechanism, and the in-match Demon Parade effect Iridescence for free.

Azure Moon Skin Collection

Dress-Up Party

During the event, unlock the Dress-Up Party event and complete the quests before May 18th, 2023 to get Tesso’s rare skin, Tasty Takoyaki, and Dream Orbs. Ungaikyo’s Blazing Reflections has been added to the Temporal Shop. Dream Orbs can be used at the Temporal Shop to exchange for skins and other items.

Tesso’s skin, Tasty Takoyaki, will be added to the Skin Shop and Rare Skin Monthly Gift from May 19th, 2023 onward.

Balance Adjustments

Vampira

Ability 1: Blood Bats

The duration of the bats has been reduced from 8 seconds to 4 seconds.

Reduced the base additional Max HP bonus in the healing effect granted with each stack of enhancement on the bats from 0.75% to 0.55%.

Reduced the level-dependent additional Max HP bonus in the healing effect granted with each stack of enhancement on the bats from 0.03% to 0.015%.

Reduced the Ability Power bonus in the healing effect granted with each stack of enhancement on the bats from 5% to 4%.

Increased cooldown from 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 second(s) to 12/11.25/10.5/9.75/9 second(s).

Fun Mode Adjustments

During the Elegy of the Azure Moon event, some of the gameplay for Fun Mode will be adjusted for a limited time.

Shikigami Brawl: After the 4-minute mark of a Shikigami Brawl match, amulets will turn into Azure Moon Blessing when refreshed. Picking up the amulet grants all Shikigami Brawl amulet effects: Swift Amulet, Healing Amulet, Spiritual Amulet, Nocturnal Amulet, and Refresh Amulet.

Demon Encounter: When players seal Daruma in Demon Encounter Mode, the dropped amulet shall become Azure Moon Blessing. Picking up the amulet grants bonus damage reduction and HP Steal to players’ shikigami. If a sealing occurs while the effect is active, the buff will be transferred to the team that did the sealing.

Mix-up Fight in Hazama: During the event, the visual representation of the effect for the recovery buff that can be picked up in Mix-up Fight in Hazama Mode will be replaced with a Ballad of the Azure Moon themed effect for a limited time. Simultaneously, the corresponding mechanic will also be adjusted: After picking up the buff, its halo effect will grant bonus shield to the shikigami (based on their Max HP) for 5 seconds. Shikigami possessing such shields will gain a strong Movement Speed Bonus when moving toward the enemy.

Optimizations and Adjustments

Optimized the display models for certain shikigami skins: Optimized the facial area, cutscene, and certain close-up shots of Kamimai’s Solitary Gala skin. Also added surrounding music notes to the skin. Optimized the facial area, close-up animated pose, and expressions for Ichimokuren’s Wind Expedition skin. Optimized the facial area of the model for Kingyo’s Heart Banquet skin, Futakuchi’s Soaring Star: Blurred Splendor skin, Hiyoribou’s Harvest Sail skin, and Bukkuman’s Evolved Form. Also adjusted the displayed expressions for their close-ups.

Fixed the floor effect abnormalities for the Neon Shadows shikigami scene for Yoto Hime’s Ecliptic Meander skin.

Practice Mode Update

In order to provide players with a better experience when trying out shikigami and skins, we have optimized Practice Mode in the following ways:

Added a feature to switch between shikigami and skins during matches.

Added features such as switching spells, increasing enemy shikigami income, Personal State Quick Refresh, and a permanent Quick Refresh State button.

Greatly reduced shikigami resurrection time. Furthermore, unlimited abilities can now support charging abilities.

Added a damage data display for enemy dummies. After attacking an enemy dummy, the corresponding damage data can now be displayed.

Because a fairly large number of buttons will be added after the changes are implemented, we will redistribute the Settings panel into three modules—My Shikigami, Enemy Shikigami, and Others. Since this may affect players’ usage habits and cause some temporary discomfort, we ask for your understanding in this matter.

Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments

We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on May 1st, 2023. The new free shikigami will be Enma, Tenjo Kudari, Kuro, Yuki, Dai Shimei, Ryomen, Lord Arakawa, and Yamakaze.

Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Hiyoribou and Senhime.

Of these shikigami, Lord Arakawa and Yamakaze have difficulties of Hard and Extreme respectively. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
