December 11th 2020 Update Patch Notes
The Onmyoji Arena December 11th 2020 Update sees new shikigami Bakekujira make his official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.
Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
Onmyoji Arena will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on December 14th, 2020. The new free shikigami will be Kubinashi, Umibozu, Hououga, Aobozu, Yamawaro, Menreiki, Maestro, and Yasha.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Hana and Hakuzosu.
Of these shikigami, Maestro and Yasha have a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
New Shikigami Bakekujira
“Mom will definitely go with me!”
Bakekujira is a young whale spirit that died from loneliness after losing his mother. He will blow his conch during rainy nights, luring females that he believes to be his mother into the ocean where they drown. Bakekujira can summon a giant whale that pulls enemies close to him, after which he will sound his conch to suppress the enemies. Bakekujira can also unleash the power of Whale Armor, switching between the Body Armor and Teeth Armor states according to battle situations to protect himself and his teammates.
Trait: Remnant Sound
Passive effect: Bakekujira gains a Remnant Sound stack for every certain number of enemy minions sealed nearby or every enemy shikigami Bakekujira takes part in sealing. When he obtains a stack of Remnant Sound, Bakekujira will restore HP to himself and the nearest ally shikigami in range.
Every Remnant Sound stack will permanently increase Bakekujira’s Max HP.
Ability 1: Whale Armor
Bakekujira unleashes the power of Whale Armor. The ability icon can be dragged to select either the Body Armor or Teeth Armor effect.
Body Armor: Bakekujira and nearby ally shikigami immediately gain a shield. They will also gain Armor and Magic Resist bonus while Body Armor is in effect.
Teeth Armor: Bakekujira and nearby ally shikigami gain a Movement Speed bonus for a certain period of time. During this time, their next basic attacks will deal additional magic damage.
Ability 2: Water Strike
Bakekujira summons a tidal wave that crashes into the designated direction. It deals a large amount of magic damage to enemies at close range and slows them while also dealing a certain amount of magic damage to enemies at a distant range and slowing them.
Ability 3: Whale Spout
Bakekujira commands the whale to swim to the designated area, dealing magic damage to enemies in range and slowing them. When the whale reaches the end point, it will turn around, knocking back enemies in range by a fixed distance and dealing magic damage.
Ultimate Ability: Conch Summoning
Bakekujira sounds the conch, suppressing the designated enemy shikigami and dealing magic damage every 0.5 seconds, while at the same time restoring his own HP. The suppression effect will be dispelled early if Bakekujira is too far away from the target.
This week sees Bakekujira make his official debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield. His dyed skin, Yearning Words is also available in the Skin Shop.
The Conch Longing Selection Pack will also be available in the General Store. The selection pack includes the new shikigami Bakekujira, Evolved Form Amulet x1, Taichi Mudra x1, and Eight Petals x8.

Yumekui Adjustments
Ability 2: Dreamy Foam
Adjusted damage from 100/140/180/220/260 (+50% Ability Power) (6% of target’s Max HP) to 100/140/180/220/260 (+50% Ability Power) (5% of target’s Max HP), and increased damage to monsters to 170%.
Adjusted MP Cost from 35/40/45/50/55 to 45/50/55/60/65.
Ultimate Ability: Dream Invader
Adjusted damage from 40 (15% Ability Power) (3.5% of target’s Max HP). to 40 (15% Ability Power) (4% of target’s Max HP).
Pumpkin Returns Event
Event Period: December 11th after maintenance to December 24th, 2020
