Shikigami Adjustments
Itsumade
Currently, Itsumade’s ability combos are not very demanding in terms of ability hit rate as her basic abilities are far too stable, limiting the chances for opponents to counteract. For these reasons, we have updated Itsumade’s Ability 2 Invisible Edge and re-adjusted her damage. By doing so, we hope to provide players using Itsumade and players fighting against Itsumade with more room for besting one another, as well as give Itsumade players more playability with accurate skill hits.
Natural Passive: Golden Feather
Reduced damage from 9 (+6*Current Level) (+12% Bonus Attack) to 5 (+3*Current Level) (+10% Bonus Attack).
Ability 2: Invisible Edge
Mechanics Adjustments: Itsumade throws 5 Feathers at the designated direction, piercing enemies along their flight paths to deal Physical Damage of 55/95/135/175/215 (+50% Bonus Attack) and inflict 30% Slow for 1 second on enemies hit. The Feathers will remain in place at the end of their flight paths. After 0.7 seconds, Itsumade will recollect the Feathers, piercing enemies along their flight path to deal Physical Damage of 65/125/185/245/305 (+70% Bonus Attack).
Balance Adjustments
Aori
Currently, Aori’s laning performance is rather weak. Even if Ability 3 Arachnean Circle has enough damage stored to seal the enemy, it will not automatically activate and requires players to recast and adjust the magic circle in order to trigger the damage. We feel that this experience is not friendly to players, so in this adjustment, we have modified the damage type of Aori’s Ability 3 Arachnean Circle to True Damage. Once the stored damage within the circle is enough, it will directly trigger the damage to seal the enemy right away. Furthermore, to balance Aori’s strength, we have adjusted the damage-recording mechanism to calculate the damage value after Armor and Magic Resist (previously it was calculated before Armor and Magic Resist). With the original damage the same, the damage triggered by the magic circle will be similar to the previous version. Additionally, we have slightly increased the damage of Ability 1 Galaxy Amulet to enhance Aori’s laning performance.
Ability 1: Galaxy Amulet
Damage increased from 50/75/100/125/150 to 60/82.5/105/127.5/150.
Ability 3: Arachnean Circle
Damage type adjusted from Magic Damage to True Damage, but the recording of damage has been adjusted from calculating damage before Armor and Magic Resist to after Armor and Magic Resist. Therefore, under the unchanged initial damage, the damage caused by the magic circle remains essentially the same as before the adjustment.
Now, recorded damage against a Shikigami will be displayed above the HP bar. Once recorded damage is enough to seal the enemy Shikigami, the damage will be immediately triggered.
Taishakuten
Born Passive: King’s Feast
Fixed an issue that caused characters who fell into Sin Karma to take damage at the end of their control time (0.9 seconds) instead of 1.8 seconds later. After the issue was fixed, the timing of taking damage was adjusted to 1.4 seconds after falling into the “Sin Karma” state.
The control time for characters falling into the “Sin Karma” state was increased from 0.9 seconds to 1 seconds
Kainin
As a Ninja Shikigami, once the advantage is lost in the early game, Kainin’s role in the rest of the match becomes unclear. Also, the shield granted by the Ultimate Ability Instant Needle is too high but the duration is too short, reducing Kainin’s abilities to remain in a teamfight. In this adjustment, we changed the base damage and multiplier for Kainin’s Ability 1 Flying Leaves, giving Kainin a chance to level even when the odds are unfavorable, as well as giving the opposition a fighting chance while Kainin’s side holds the advantage. Also, we revised the shield mechanism granted by the Ultimate Ability Instant Needle, granting Kainin higher survivability.
Ability 1: Flying Leaves
Damage adjusted from 60/85/110/135/160 (+27.5% Bonus Attack) to 60/90/120/150/180 (+27.5% Bonus Attack).
Ability 2: Shadow Strike
Decreased base damage from 35/57.5/80/102.5/125(+42.5% Bonus Attack) to 35/57.5/80/102.5/125(+37.5% Bonus Attack).
Decreased base damage against monsters and in the outer circle from 70/115/160/205/250(+85% Bonus Attack) to 70/115/160/205/250(+75% Bonus Attack).
Ultimate Ability: Instant Needle
Increased base damage from 200/400/600(+100% Bonus Attack) to 200/450/700(+100% Bonus Attack)
Shield value reduced from 250/475/700 (+125% Bonus Attack) to 200/425/650 (+110% Bonus Attack).
Duration increased from 1.25 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
Kyuumei Neko
Currently, Kyuumei Neko’s combat performance in the late game is too weak. We wanted to increase her farming abilities in the late game to grant her higher combat performance, so we have increased the benefits from landing CRIT hits and reduced the cooldown of her Ultimate Ability Explosive Fur in the mid and late game.
Natural Passive: Nine Lives
Increased CRIT effect from 155% to 165%.
Bonus damage from Seductress item special effect increased from 40% to 45%.
Ultimate Ability: Explosive Fur
Cooldown reduced from 70 seconds to 70/65/60 seconds.
Asura
Asura’s Ultimate Ability Purgatory Massacre requires a certain period of time to cast. During teamfights, there are instances where Asura takes heavy amounts of damage while airborne and loses combat abilities when he lands. As an Ultimate Ability with great power, Asura should be close to a war god after casting Purgatory Massacre, rather than being heavily damaged while airborne and fleeing desperately when landing. Therefore, we added a Damage Reduction mechanism while Asura is airborne to slightly increase the power of this skill.
Ultimate Ability: Purgatory Massacre
Now, while airborne, Asura gains 75% Damage Reduction.
Onikiri
The most recent damage adjustments to Ability 3 Blade Flash was meant to give Onikiri more battle ability during mid game, as well as give Onikiri some battle ability when Ability 2 Light Vanquisher misses. However, the adjustments were too conservative and did not elevate Onikiri’s performance during mid game. This time, we increased the damage dealt by Ability 3 Blade Flash in hopes of providing Onikiri with more damage and room for error.
Ability 3: Blade Flash
Increased damage from 90/155/220/285/350 (+60% Bonus Attack) to 110/185/260/335/410 (+80% Bonus Attack).
Tenjo Kudari
Ability 1: Rock Throw
Base damage adjusted from 100/145/190/235/280 to 85/130/175/220/265.
Ultimate Ability: Rain Shelter
Cooldown adjusted from 70 seconds to 80
Yamawaro
Ability 2 Quake
Max damage dealt to monsters adjusted from 150/200/250/300/350 (+24*Current Level) to 200/250/300/350/400 (+25*Current Level).
Yamausagi
As a Shikigami that should have strong laning abilities, Yamausagi still has difficulties gaining an advantage in laning, so we decided to slightly adjust the damage dealt in the early game. Also, the Ultimate Ability has a low hit rate and provides too few benefits, so we slightly increased the control duration.
Ability 2: Be Good
Base damage adjusted from 90/160/230/300/370 to 100/175/250/325/400.
Ultimate Ability: Ring Toss
Increased control duration from 1.5/1.6/1.7 seconds to 1.5/1.8/2.1 seconds.
Momiji
Ability 2: Maple Note
Increases damage coefficient against non-Shikigami units from 1.5/1.575/1.65/1.725/1.8 to 1.65/1.725/1.8/1.875/1.95
Speed of recollecting Maple Letter adjusted from 1500 to 2500.
Kidomaru
After the last adjustment, Kidomaru’s laning and jungle abilities during the mid game to late game are too strong, allowing him to accumulate EXP and income much too quickly. We want to limit this kind of occurrence. Meanwhile, the cooldown for Ability 3 Raiment of the Waning Moon is too short in the late game, allowing Kidomaru too much mobility, so we slightly adjusted the cooldown.
Ability 3: Raiment of the Waning Moon
Attack speed bonus adjusted from 40%/50%/60%/70%/80% to 30%/35%/40%/45%/50%.
Cooldown adjusted from 8/7.75/7.5/7.25/7 to 9 seconds.
Item Adjustments
Currently, we have noticed that some Samurai Shikigami have limited options in choosing offensive items. This may be due to the unique position or the nature of their abilities. For example, the dual forms of Hannya and Asura, which switch between melee and ranged attacks, limit the effectiveness of certain melee items in their ranged form. Similarly, Jinmenju’s ultimate ability prevents him from using on-hit items. In the new season, we aim to provide Samurai-class Shikigami with a fresh experience and a wider range of item choices.
Yin Yang Wheel
Yin Yang Wheel requires players to frequently trigger on-hit effects which poses significant limitations for some Shikigami’s combos and combat duration, since it requires casting a basic attack every once in a while. We hope to reduce this type of limitation, so bonus damage from Yin Yang Wheel can now be triggered both through Abilities or Basic Attacks, and can be charged up to 2 stacks. This item will also provide a boost to Movement Speed to assist with prolonged battles. To balance its strength and avoid becoming too powerful during ranged harassment battles, Yin Yang Wheel’s Bonus Damage will only be available after a certain period of time in battle.
Cold Cry – Adjustment: When dealing damage to Shikigami, enter Cold Cry state for 4 seconds. Under Cold Cry state, gain bonus Movement Speed. Every 2 seconds, an Ability gains Bonus Damage, and the next Ability or Basic Attack that hits an enemy Shikigami will deal Physical Damage and recover HP equal to a ratio of the damage dealt. The Bonus Damage can stack up to 2 stacks. The damage and recovery effects for ranged Shikigami are less effective.
Chop – New Effect: Basic attacks deal damage equal to 35% Attack to enemies near the target. Damage to minions is increased by 100%.
Eye of Orochi
Currently, Eye of Orochi is the weapon of choice by some attack-focused Shikigami. We shifted some of its Attack Damage stats to the Cooldown Reduction in hopes of providing better performance in prolonged battles. Also, we hoped that ranged Shikigami can benefit from the Chop effect while clearing lanes.
Attack Damage reduced from 90 to 80.
Cooldown Reduction increased from 10% to 20%.
Chop – Adjustment: Basic attacks deal damage equal to 35% Attack to enemies near the target. Damage to minions is increased by 100%.
Grass-cutting Sword
Due to the Grass-cutting Sword’s Attack speed stats, it is suitable for on-hit Shikigami. We adjusted the Grass-cutting Sword’s stats and ability in hopes of providing on-hit Shikigami with ASPD, Attack Damage, on-hit damage, and healing effects.
Cooldown Reduction reduced from 20% to 10%.
Attack Damage increased from 40 to 50.
Cursed Scar – Adjustment: Basic Attacks will recover MP. Within 5 seconds after casting an Ability, the next Basic Attack will deal an additional 20 (+70% Attack) Physical Damage. This effect can be triggered once every 1.5 seconds. Within some time after dealing Cursed Scar damage to a Shikigami, Basic Attacks will deal additional Physical Damage and recover HP. This effect can stack up to 2 times. The damage and recovery effects are halved for ranged Shikigami.
Bonerotter
Currently, Bonerotter is a HP Steal item that is only suitable to certain Marksman Shikigami in the late game. It provides low benefits for melee Shikigami, and since it doesn’t offer Cooldown Reduction, it is rather weak in the early to mid game. By adjusting this item to grant melee Shikigami with bonus benefits and stats, we hoped that Bonerotter will be one of the items of choice to provide reliable HP recovery in the early game.
Fusion recipe adjusted to Redmark Katar + Domaru Armor + Chibiki Blade.
Armor reduced from 90 to 75.
New: 10% Cooldown Reduction.
Sacred Bones – Adjustment: Melee Shikigami will gain bonus Life Steal, Spell Vampire, and Armor based on HP lost.
Demon Mask
Compared to other defensive items, we hoped to give Demon Mask some more offensive capabilities. We slightly increased the Base Attack Damage and reduced the Base Shield.
Attack Damage increased from 40 to 55.
Shield value reduced from 200 (+30% Bonus HP) (+200% Attack) to 150 (+30% Bonus HP) (+200% Bonus Attack).
Mikazuki
The positioning for the Mikazuki is a mid to late game Armor-Penetration item, but during the mid to late game, Samurai Shikigami rarely need to enhance their abilities to deal with heavy-armored Shikigami. Therefore, we adjusted the positioning for Mikazuki to provide relatively long-term Slow effects in order to provide Shikigami that lack pursuit abilities with an optional item.
HP reduced from 500 to 450.
Attack Damage increased from 30 to 45.
Moonchaser – Adjustment: Dealing damage to the same enemy Shikigami with Abilities or Basic Attacks twice within a certain period of time will also inflict Physical Damage and Slow on the target Shikigami and nearby units for 3 seconds. Cooldown: 12 seconds (affected by Cooldown Reduction).
Vaisravana Drum
The Vaisravana Drum is way too powerful during laning phase. It is the most cost-effective defensive item in the game. This resulted in Shikigami that are not very suited for Vaisravana Drum to also choose it as their first item. Therefore, we slightly reduced the armor to reduce the stats benefits in hopes of lowering its selection priority.
Armor reduced from 70 to 55.
Optimizations and Adjustments
Optimized the red dot notification rules for the Shop and Spectate functions. Also, we addressed the issue of guide-related red dot notifications reappearing when switching clients in the Shikigami Record and other functions.
To personalize the gaming preferences of our Onmyoji players, the service team has introduced an in-game customization feature. You can now customize layouts to your own preferences by accessing the settings menu.
To enhance the in-game communication efficiency of Onmyoji players, the service team has optimized the in-game Battle Results interface and added an interactive function to share combat information in real-time. Information that can be sent include: Spells, Ultimate Abilities, neutral bosses, Shikigami status, Items, Incomes, and Battle Passes. Also, if you notice an enemy Shikigami just used a Spell or Ultimate Ability on the battlefield, you can click on the corresponding icon on the Battle Results within 20 seconds to send a notice to your teammates.

Optimized the Spell icon display for Pace Effect: Blooming Safflowers.

Optimized the logic for Aori’s Ability 3 Arachnean Circle against minions. Recording of damage against minions will now be added to the slay HP bar.

Kinnara and Taishakuten will now join the Demon Encounter.

Aobozu: Damage from Demonbane Form adjusted from 400/575/700 (+20%/25%/30% Target’s lost HP) to 500/700/900 (25%/30%/35% Target’s lost HP).

Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments
We will change the lineup of the limited-time free Shikigami at 5:00am on 7/17. The new free Shikigami will be Youko, Kusa, Kyonshi Imoto, Furi, Izaya, Hako Shoujo, Aoandon, and Yokinshi.
Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free Shikigami, Yumekui and Miketsu.
Of these shikigami, Yokinshi has a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.
