September 30th 2022 Update Patch Notes

The Onmyoji Arena September 30th, 2022 Update sees new Mage shikigami Taishakuten make his debut on the Heian-kyo battlefield.

New Shikigami Taishakuten

The design of Taishakuten’s abilities display his outstanding capabilities when it comes to controlling enemies. At the same time, he can also manifest a clone of himself that attracts enemy attacks. Taishakuten can rely on the continuous control capabilities of his trait and the control abilities of his teammates to deal heavy damage and control enemies during a teamfight with his ultimate ability.

Trait: King’s Feast

Basic attacks and abilities will brand enemy shikigami with the Golden Lotus seal. When the seal reaches the maximum number of stacks, the target will fall into Sinful Karma and move toward the nearest ally unit. After a short amount of time, it deals magic damage to the target shikigami and surrounding enemies.

Ability 1: Celestial Judgment

Casts the magic circle Celestial Judgment in a designated direction, dealing magic damage to enemies within range after a short delay.

Ability 2: Flawless Lotus

Brands the Sacred Lotus seal on the enemy shikigami and surrounding targets, dealing magic damage. Ignites the Sacred Lotus using basic attacks and abilities to deal magic damage and inflict a Slow that gradually weakens over time.

Ability 3: Ten Great Virtues

Taishakuten displaces in the designated direction, quickly entering the Invisibility state and increasing his Movement Speed. Also manifests a clone on the spot. The clone can attack surrounding enemies and will disappear after casting abilities with the main body once. When the clone disappears it will deal magic damage to surrounding enemies.

Ultimate Ability: Instant Lotus Bloom

A myriad of lotuses instantly bloom! Deals magic damage to enemy targets in the designated position. If it hits an enemy shikigami or minion, deals damage to the ability area again after a short delay. Otherwise, the ability ends.

Daruma Blessing has new goods! Accumulated rewards have been reset!

Mahjong Fight

In order to increase the difficulty of Mahjong Fight and offer players more options when putting together a lineup, we have brought back the Mahjong Fight-exclusive item system! The original fusion rules were complicated and have been removed. Players no longer need to fuse small items, and can now select suitable items in the match based on their lineup. Equipping shikigami on the board with items can enhance them and increase the strength of the lineup.

To allow all players to precisely determine when shikigami can cast abilities, the frequency of ability casting that was previously dependent on cooldown will now be based on MP. Shikigami can cast abilities upon reaching the maximum MP.

To offer for more choices of Support shikigami, Hiyoribou, a Support shikigami, has been added at a cost of 3 Coins.

Hiyoribou

Ability: Warm Day

Hiyoribou chooses a direction to cast Warm Day. Warm Day gathers Energy at the original location and flies forward, dealing 80/120/160 magic damage to enemies in its path. After Warm Day flies the maximum distance, it returns to the ally with the lowest HP and restores 80/140/200 of their HP, dealing 60/100/140 magic damage to enemies in its return path.

Passive Ability

Increases the Max HP of ally shikigami’s summon by 20/25/30%.

Shikigami Tile Balance Adjustments

Yuki Onna

Passive ability’s chance of receiving 1 Coin when a Mage shikigami casts an ability has been reduced from 25/35/45% to 15/20/25%. (Only effective in active battle.)

Balance Adjustments

Kidomaru

We have slightly reduced Kidomaru’s damage conversion rate and fixed the issue in his Ability 2 where choosing to drag an enemy deals two-part damage instead.

Trait: Child of Shura

Reduced basic attack damage from 80% to 75%.

Ability 1: Killing Satisfaction

Reduced the base Attack Speed of imps from 1.1 to 1.

Ability 2: Skeletal Chain

Fixed the issue where additional damage is dealt when dragging the enemy.

Kiyohime

Kiyohime is rather powerful on the whole, but visual effects cause the distance in her Ability 2 to be overestimated, making it difficult to hit the target. We have reduced her strength and suitably increased the hitbox distance of her Ability 2 for it to be consistent with what is displayed visually.

Ability 2: Serpent’s Shackle

Reduced additional damage from 10/20/30/40/50 (+3/3.5/4/4.5/5% of target’s Max HP) (+10% of Ability Power) to 10/15/20/25/30 (+3/3.5/4/4.5/5% of target’s Max HP).

Lengthened the hitbox distance of the Serpent’s Shackles by 50 yards for it to line up with the visual representation.

Ultimate Ability: Star Evolution

Reduced Control Reduction from 70/80/90% to 70/75/80%.

Reduced Movement Speed Bonus from 30/35/40% to 30%.

Furi

We have made slight adjustments to the way Furi’s ultimate ability is cast, as well as the retrieval range of his Ability 3, for his performance in teamfights to be more consistent and predictable. We have also adjusted the damage growth and retrieval range of his Ability 2 to balance out the difficulty and gains from retrieving.

Ability 2: Blade Whirl

Adjusted the damage of enhanced basic attacks from 30/70/110/150/190 (+150% of Attack) to 20/45/70/95/120 (+150% of Attack) (+10*level).

Increased the retrieval range from 220 to 250.

Ability 3: Hook Spin

Increased the hitbox width from 275 yards to 350 yards.

Ultimate Ability: Double Gust

Changed the manner of casting from selecting a direction to selecting a target location.

Puppeteer

Puppeteer has a relatively weak performance when facing off against other shikigami. We hope to increase her strength in battle.

Trait: Unity

Increased Movement Speed Bonus when switching forms from 20% for 2.5 seconds to 30% for 3 seconds. Increased Melee state’s Armor and Magic Resist from 6 (+4*current level) to 6 (+5*current level).

Ability 2: Occult Flurry (Melee)

Increased the damage in continuous attacks from 30/50/70/90/110/130 (+30% of Bonus Attack) to 30/55/80/105/130/155 (+35% of Bonus Attack).

Ability 3: Occult Thread (Melee)

Increased damage from (+100% of Bonus Attack) to (+110% of Bonus Attack).

Hako Shoujo

Hako Shoujo is relatively weak. We hope to improve her performance by strengthening her recovery and control abilities.

Ability 2: Glittering Shield

Increased Charm duration from 1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5/1.6 seconds to 1.2/1.35/1.5/1.65/1.8 seconds.

Ability 3: Retrace

Increased HP Regen Bonus from 30%/35%/40%/45%/50% to 40%/45%/50%/55%/60%.

Yamausagi

Ultimate Ability: Ring Toss

Increased the short-ranged hitbox of Yamausagi’s ultimate ability.

Takiyasha Hime

The currently available Attack items do not provide significant bonuses for Takiyasha Hime. We hope to increase the bonuses she gains from equipped Attack items by enhancing her Attack Bonus.

Trait: Moon Slash

Increased Regen that comes with reaching 5 maximum stacks of Attack from (+14% of Bonus Attack) to (+18% of Bonus Attack). Increased Regen amount from (+7% of Bonus Attack) per second to (+9% of Bonus Attack) per second.

Ability 3: Sleepless Moonrise

Increased the damage that comes with triggering a mark from 100 (+60% of Bonus Attack Damage) to 100 (+70% of Bonus Attack Damage).

Ultimate Ability: Shadowless Sundown

Increased both the physical damage dealt by Demon Riders to enemies within 600 yards from 60 (+25% of Bonus Attack) to 60 (+30% of Bonus Attack), and on targets in their path from 120 (+50% of Bonus Attack) to 120 (+60% of Bonus Attack).

Sesshomaru

As Sesshomaru is rather weak overall, we have strengthened and enhanced some of his abilities.

Ability 1: Full-blooded

Increased the damage that comes with hitting a target 3 times from 55 (+90% of Bonus Attack) to 55 (+100% of Bonus Attack).

Reduced Regen reduction when attacking non-shikigami targets from 50% to 25%.

Ultimate Ability: Dragon Strike

Increased damage from +112.5% of Bonus Attack to +125% of Bonus Attack.

Reduced the time taken for ultimate ability to charge to its maximum distance from 2 seconds to 1.6 seconds. Increased ultimate ability’s vision range.

Demon Encounter

Ungaikyo and Mushishi will join Demon Encounter!

Ungaikyo

Trait: Yin and Yang Strengthened

Minor abilities in the Yin and Yang forms have independent cooldowns. Increased HP when regaining another form upon taking damage.

Mushishi

Ability 2: Returning Butterfly Strengthened

Flight time has been increased. Distance restriction has been removed. Cooldown of Ability 1: Insects Awaken has been greatly reduced during flight.

Demon Encounter Balance Adjustments

Aori: Reduced the base ratio of calculated damage in Ability 3: Arachnean Circle from 0.3-0.5 to 0.2-0.28.

Shuten Doji: Reduced the ratio at which the target’s Attack is absorbed with Ability 4: New Boss in Town from 3% to 2.5%.

Kiyohime: Reduced both the casting and breaking distances in Ability 2: Serpent’s Shackle.

Hone Onna: Reduced the damage-triggered cooldown of Ultimate Ability: Resentment from 8 seconds to 1 second.

Shiranui: Increased the ability damage cast by blazeflies from 60% to 90%.

Free Shikigami Lineup Bulletin

We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on 10/3. The new free shikigami will be Youko, Yamausagi, Takiyasha Hime, Kainin, Furi, Kyuumei Neko, Aori, and Shiro.

Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Izaya and Kidomaru.

Of these shikigami, Shiro has a difficulty of Hard. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use him in battle for free.
